When I was a kid, my Mom had a bunch of those small plastic easter eggs and she put a little candy or a little toy in each. She hid them all over the house and we would go searching for them. It was an indoor easter egg hunt. We loooooved doing that. We lived in New England, so it was too cold to have an outdoor hunt. Oh, I should have said that we still got an Easter basket, but it had the chocolate bunny, jelly beans, and something like a small stuffed animal. The Easter baskets were never hidden. |

I usually make the kids go on hunts for their baskets with one clue leading to the next, and they eventually find their baskets. There have been a few years when I've just not been up to the brainpower needed to do it and have just given them their baskets. They always hated those years. This year is one of those years and if they complain *I'll* eat all their chokkies! ;-) MZ |

My DS loves the treasure hunt to find the basket more than the basket itself. He is 9 years old and still believes. He is a very smart boy and loves a challenge so this year the clues were in different languages and in Morse code. He loved it.
