Knowing you are raising your children correctly...PRICELESS!!!

This morning, DH and I woke up at 9am, came down the stairs to find DS son playing with his gamecube...we asked him if he wanted to look to see what the Easter Bunny had brought him and he said he already did. Which was extremely puzzling to me, since I had hide it....but went along with him and asked him if he liked what he got. He said yeah he got a nice plastic bucket with a note in it saying have a Hoppy Easter...DS then said the Easter Bunny must of left all his candy at another kids house who doesn't have a lot of food so he could share it with his mommy and daddy.

What DS found was just a plastic basket I had bought him, so he would have an empty basket for the egg hunt. I didn't have the heart to tell him different, (since his story was so sweet and self-less) so I brought out the "hidden" basket and told him it was from Daddy and Mommy.

Ahhhh. How sweet! That was a good call on your part to go along with it. My boys are 26 and 24. As they were growing up, my oldest would frequently say "you're really lucky, you know?". When I asked why, he'd reply "because you have 2 really good kids!". He was right...and I still do.
