Spinoff: What kind of cell phone do you have?

Obviously the ringtone thread thread got to me to thinking. When the iphone first came out, I really thought I wanted one, but now the thought of trying to type on the flat keyboard makes me glad I didn't shell out $$ to get one. Plus, just can't imagine paying all that to get one.
In Sept I got the Nokia N95 off ebay and HATED it. I couldn't figure out how to work the damn thing, lol. So I sold it within 2 weeks for only $10 less than I bought it for. Used the money to buy the BEST phone in the world - blackberry curve and I LOVE it. It's the perfect phone for me.

What kind do you have and do you like it or want something else?

I have this one
http://news.vzw.com/images/releases/VX9900openH4Web.jpg

Verizon LG Envy and I love it. My next phone will be the Voyager which is like IPhone. I love my phone because it has a full qwerty keyboard and a large screen. It does everything but have the capapbillity to watch tv which the Voyager does have.

I am totally into my phone. I love it. I have Navigator, internet, camera, video, all the bell's and whistles.

I just love modern technology!

iPhone here!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It's made life so much easier! It was well worth the money and continues to prove so daily. I'm a big geek and I need my connectivity.
I no longer have to carry my iPod, a Tmobile Sidekick for messaging/internet and my Cingular phone for calling. I have one thing to carry!

Typing on the flat keyboard was a bit weird at first but now its as easy as typing on a raised keyboard.

I have a Blackberry and love it! (not the curve - I need something smaller to wear in my pocket at work)

the keyboard is great for all the text messaging I do

I probably don't use it, however, as it could be used to it's full potential

I just have a cheapo Tracfone. I rarely use it-have had it about a month and have used less than 60mins. The older two boys have tracfones as well. They have to buy their own mins. It works out great. DH has a really nice Blackberry, but that was provided by his employer. The downfall to that is everytime I turn around, he is checking his email.

I totally second that! I have a Motorola V180 - and I don't text, don't do pictures, nothing. All I need is a phone.

I have (don't laugh..) a Virgin Mobile Kyocera K9.

It is an ancient phone. LOL.

I have had it for almost 3 years now.

I love the phone! It is super easy to use.

I have thought about upgrading the phone to get a flip phone (I worry about accidentally calling people if the phone is bumped) but am nervous about the quality of another VM phone. Plus, this one works great still!

So do you have the pearl? My son wants one sooo bad. I told him he'd have to save up and buy it himself b/c I refuse to buy a teen an expensive phone. So he's saving up for one. We'll see which one wins out - candy or cell phone, lol.

I have to say that w/ the calendar, I NEVER forget anything anymore. EVERYTHING goes into my phone calendar and it's soooo nice!

I have an older Nokia phone that is just a phone (no camera, no fancy ring tones, no games, etc., just a phone) and I love it, although it's starting to wear out. Sometimes I wish it had a camera on it, but other than that I want a phone that is just a phone.

My DH has a Blackberry (he bought the phone, but his employer pays the airtime bills) and wants to get me one too, but the data plan is just too much money for me to stomach when I don't *really* need it. We have Verizon which is great service (100 times better than Cingular & T-Mobile that we had before), but more expensive than other companies. Also, it drives me nuts that DH is CONSTANTLY checking his e-mail.

I had an old Nokia forever, and just about 6 weeks ago got a Razor. I really like it. I wanted one that flipped closed so the keys would stop getting pushed when it was in my purse! DD has a Razor and knows how to work all the frills, but I just use the phone and occassionally the calculator when I'm at the store. I don't use the camera, nor do I have texting. Per the other thread, I just have the AT&T ringtone. Very basic.

DH has a blackberry and loves it.

Most flat phones can 'lock,' either with a key code, or after however however many minutes unused. You unlock them by holding down a key, or entering a code.

I usually get the simplest phone I can, while DH goes for something elaborate. I had one like the older Kyocera one, and it was great. I have an LG flip phone now, which has a decent camera, but I wish the software had more options. Mysteriously enough, my battery always seems to last longer than his.

Helio Ocean, hand-me-down from my husband like all my cellphones have been.. but add me to the list of "just need a phone with buttons, contact list is a bonus" lol

Seriously, I had this phone for at least a couple months before I found voicemail.. Not that I was looking, just happened to find it lol

I cut the plan down from the "unlimited" to 500 minutes with data and text costing extra. I don't even know how to send a text message unless I'm replying to one someone sent me, and I might use 120 or so minutes in a month. MAYBE. I don't like talking on the phone.

Yeah, DH told me that repeatedly when I said I was getting a new phone. The thing is, I don't receive calls on my phone very often and could never remember how to get it unlocked before the phone quit ringing! It was too frustrating. I figured, I had a free upgrade, so I did it!

I have a Nokia that lights up on the sides when it rings - I love it. I guess it's considered old-school but when my DH signed up for an additional 2 years with T-Mobile we all got new phones. The Razor he got me is still sitting in the box in the cabinet because I'm just so happy with my old phone.

I think mine is a Motorolla 560, we have Nextel. DH uses them for work so I got one so I could talk to him.

I am too cheap to pay for a fancy phone. All I need is to be able to call and wish I had a camera but I don't need it. Its old and I don't even know what kind it is just that it works.

Dh has a crackberry and has a love/hate relationship with it.
