This song was #1 on the Hit Parade in 1972. I was 10 and spent the summer in Italy. I fell in love with Gianni Nazzaro, a crooner of love songs. This is the 45 I got it's still at my Mom's house somewhere. It's about a man who loves a woman who wants his loving Mother to understand. Typical. Italian men love their Mothers and it's very hard for a woman to be accepted into the family (especially if she's not Italian).
