When you were a young child, who did you have a crush on?

I used to have a crush on a few actors on TV...Chad Everett (Medical Center) was one of them...I used to make my Ken doll Dr. Joe Gannon....I also liked Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies, Bob Crane from Hogans Heroes, and Lyle Waggoner from the Carol Burnett show...I guess I liked older, dark haired men! Too funny! As I got older I had a thing for KC from the Sunshine Band! ~Lisa

Most of my crushes when I was very young were of friends of my older sister. I remember one really well--he called me his little girlfriend! LOL I loved him.

And then our next door neighbor was my crush for the longest, but he looked at me like the little sister he didn't have and tormented me endlessly!

David Cassidy was my first love and I can't remember who came next because this crush lasted up to Jr High when I became interested in "real" boys.

Talk about old, my first crush was on Roy Rogers! I hated to see him making goo goo eyes at Dale Evans who rode alongside him every Saturday morning ;-)
When I was a teen I was hopelessly smitten with Mark Lindsay (the one w/the ponytail) from Paul Revere and the Raiders.

My heart went pitter pat for John Travolta (Vinnie Barbarino would have annoyed me had he actually been in one of my classes in school!), Andy Gibb (I cried HARD when he died!), and this guy that danced around in the Dr. Pepper commercials... "I'm a Pepper, he's a Pepper..." Don't know the Dr. Pepper guy's name but he was a cutey.

I loved EVERY member of New Kids On The Block! I was sure I was going to be able to charm the heck out of at least one of them when they came to my home town for a concert. I was crushed when I couldn't figure out a way back stage after the show.

What a blast from the past some of these posts were!!! Anyone remeber Sam....man I can't remember his name but I think he does Broadway now. I'll have to look it up. But he had this TV movie and this cheesey love song. Wow he was a hunk!! lol

When I was young, I had a dream that Donny Osmond gave me his class ring and it seemed so real that I spent about 20 min after I woke up looking for it. How pathetic!! I still love him!!

Keep the memories coming!!

Melissa

"You Take My Breath Away" I think was the name of the song that the Sam guy sang.........anyone remember

It WAS David Naughton (another poster mentioned correctly). He even had a song "Makin' It" and a short-lived sitcom by the same name.

I also loved him, Cuthie!!

I never had crushes on any guys till I was about 15. I had no interest in guys whatsoever. Some girl came up to me when I was in my mid teens and told me I should wear makeup, that guys like girls who wore makeup.Thats when my interest in guys mysteriously began.Soon after that a friend set me up with her neighbor.I have no idea why she did ,lol, but was totally clueless as to what to do with a "boyfriend" .That is until I met HIS neighbor. OMG was he cuuuuuuuuuuuuute. He was my first crush and suddenly I knew just WHAT to do with a boyfriend, lol.

My first BIG crush was on Paul McCartney (from the Beatles). I still have a somewhat smaller crush on him (LOL). Bobby Sherman and Mickey Dolenz (from the Monkeys, although I really liked him as Circus Boy). Glad to see I'm not the only OLD one around these boards!

You aren't old alone. I adored Roy Rogers. I see old photos of him and still think he's sexy. It was the eyes.

After that it was Elvis Presley. That didn't last too long. I went and saw his first movie and even at my young age, I could recognize really terrible acting and I think that was the start of our drifting apart.
