| I seocnd this. This house is so old (born in 1925) there were things that would not come out with anything other than the magic erasers. I also found this page of alternative methods Cleaning Stainless Steel FAQs | DoItYourself.com Olive Oil: Rub stainless steel sinks with olive oil to remove streaks. Vinegar: To clean and polish stainless steel, simply moisten a cloth with undiluted white or cider vinegar and wipe clean. Can also be used to remove heat stains on stainless steel cutlery. Club Soda: Remove streaks or heat stains from stainless steel by rubbing with club soda.

thanks for all of the suggestions. I'm off to the store to get the erasers first (and I even have a coupon) . Truthfully I wouldn't take a truckload of this stainless stuff if someone would give it to me. Fortunately I have one of corian sinks and countertops that pazpuella is talking about and absolutely love it. It needs tender loving care but I would do it all over again and it is perfect for the bathroom as well. Thanks again for all the hints!

I would NOT use the eraser on the fridge! They do scratch some surfaces!! This is right off the website: Attention: Test first on a well lit, inconspicuous spot with light pressure. Let the spot dry to see if it is modified or damaged. Not recommended for the following surfaces: High Gloss, Polished, Dark, Brushed, Satin, Faux, Bare/Polished Wood, or Stainless Steel. If using for dishwashing, rinse dishes thoroughly. Do not use with chlorine bleach, on vehicle body, or post-factory tinted glass.
