Do you still use a dictionary or do you look words up online?

So do you still use a dictionary or do you and your children look words up mostly online?

I use to always use a dictionary. I always had a small dictionary in the desk for quick reference. Now I find I almost exclusively use an online dictionary...it is just become faster and easier for me to use....

I use the internet, I first tell my kids to sound it out and if they still can't get it I tell them to grab their dictionary, But sometimes the kids school dictionary doesn't have the words so since my laptop is right here I go online

I use Wikipedia and Wiktionary for, well, everything, but I also always have a computer in front of me at work, and easy access to one at home. I was taught how to use a dictionary, and card catalog, which both seem almost obsolete now. Things change so fast! I guess the good part is that a laptop takes up less space than the books it replaces for me.

I still use both, about equally actually. Also, at work, because we want the kids to be able to actually open a book and know how to use the dictionary, I rarely if ever use and online source.

I like the book. I am finding many kids have lost the skill of looking up words and using alphabetical order. I make my students use a dictionary when they are in school.

I use mainly dictionary.com. Kids are in middle & high school now. I let them use what they want. Their elementary school had them use a dictionary and so did I. This way they would know how to look up a word from a book if they need to (like no power, etc).

It just depends on what I'm doing or where I'm at.......

The kids have started using the computer all the time for their classwork vocab. A lot of words they needed weren't in their dictionaries.
