| How high will gas prices go?
Not good news... looks like they think prices will keep increasing in the short term. Gov't expects gasoline to peak at $3.60 - Yahoo! News According to the story: "Retail gas prices will peak near $3.60 a gallon in June, but prices at such lofty levels will make many Americans think twice about hitting the road this summer, the Energy Department said Tuesday." "The government had previously estimated that gas prices would peak near $3.50 a gallon. Many analysts predict prices will rise higher than the EIA's latest estimate, and approach $4 a gallon."  |

Near my area in NY it's $3.39, I drove to PA and back over the weekend. It is the cheapest for me on the New Jersey Turnpike (go figure) at $3.05 (needless to say I filled up)....on the PA turnpike it was $3.27 and then in Lancaster County in PA it was about $3.25.

We're still under $3 in some places, I think NJ has the 3rd or 4th lowest tax on gasoline in the country? Just around the corner in NY it's about a .40 difference.

$3.22 @ Costco here in Manassas In Arlington a few days ago, I saw it at $3.75!!!!!!!!!!!

i dont know about any reports, but i honestly feel in my gut that this time next year? gas is going to be $10 a gallon! they got us all by the cahonas! they know no matter how much they charge we will STILL continue to buy gas! |

Was $3.04 a week ago and it's $3.29 now...cheap places can be $3.19 but their gas makes your car "ping". That's for 85 octane... I think it will get EASILY over $4 before year end here. It's already over that in CA where my mom is at

We are sitting on average $3.20 for reg and around $3.35 for mid-grade in Delaware. Don't forget to use gasbuddy.com to find the cheapest gas in your area.

I have a theory that just before the election they will go down. It happens every four years. By the way gas was $1.83 a gallon before we "elected" a President that owns stock in the oil companies. Hmmm? Coincidence? I think not!

I was sick in bed with the flu for 10 days. At that time gas was $3.35 a gallon for the cheap gas. Yesterday I was getting ready to go to work and was shocked that it is $3.60 a gallon for the cheap gas. I live in NNY, near Fort Drum. This is silly!

I drove past Sam's Club yesterday and the gas was $3.29.....drove by this morning and it's $3.34. We live 5 minutes from PA and dh said he had to fill up his truck yesterday (he forgot my Sam's card) and it was $3.59! Usually when we go there it's 15 - 20 cents cheaper than anyplace around us in NY, even Sam's Club. But lately Sam's is the cheapest I've found. Thank God my new car gets better gas mileage than my Liberty did.
