Is it just me or does their house always seem filthy. Every time I watch the show, which I love, it bothers me to see such a nice house in that condition.

You'd think they could get those kids to clean up their cr*p or at least take their dirty clothes to the washing machine.

At the very least they could afford a housekeeper to come in a couple times a week.

It does look pretty messy. I think I would be mortified if that was my house being shown on tv. I know it's a busy family, but those kids are plenty old enough to help out.

I think the mom may have some sort of hoarder-OCD issues. Once, the kids joked about throwing out a pile of junk..and the mom went into a hissy fit...

Yes, the house needs cleaning, especially the kids' rooms. I , too, would be embarrassed to have my house look that untidy on national t.v. I would think TLC would even pay for the maid services. Speaking of that, does TLC pay for all their vacations? I have only seen maybe a dozen episodes, and out of those, they showed three trips (Hawaii, a cruise, etc)

I think this show has run its natural course. All they ever do is get expensive stuff (ie. swimming pool) or go on vacation. They really are just boring, regular people for the most part. And I see the twins have been getting poor grades(both failing math). Time to turn the cameras off and get back to a "real" life.

I was just saying while watching the other night that I would be so embarassed if my house was that dirty and people saw it. Actually never mind people seeing it, all that junk sitting around I would go freaking nuts. I wouldn't be able to think clearly.

I really like the show but it does seem that they could at least pick up after themselves.

I think saying the house is "messy" or "untidy" is because y'all are kind ladies. Messy and untidy is maybe some magazines or newspaper on the couch, a sweater or coat thrown over a chair, a few dishes in the sink, maybe a couple weeks worth of dust or a few pair of shoes laying around.

I'm not as kind. I think their house is filthy. I know my house can look like a tornado hit it. That's when I tell everybody, even hubby, they need to give me one hour. And they clean their rooms and the bathroom and hubby cleans the computer area (or goes to cut the grass). The rest I usually keep on top of.

I cannot imagine what is going thru their minds - knowing millions of people are going to see their house and just not caring. You know the camera crew is not there all the time. I'm sure they set certain times to film. People if you know a camera crew is coming to your house, at least, straighten it up!

It could really stand some picking up and liek another poster said, the kids are old enough to do it. but there is another show on , John & Kate+ 8. Now that house is spotless. I dont think I have ever seen a show where it was dirty. But she is a neat /clean freak from what I have read on other boards about her. Plus she can be flat out rude to Jon. I would be more embarressed by the whole world seeing me treating my hubby like a dog than them seeing my house a mess.
It sure seems like alot of shows on tv now about people with tons of kids.

That kinda turned me off the show there on how she treats him. He seems like a sweet guy, though I'm still trying to figure out how they all get dressed and out the door to go somewhere and the kids stay clean, i swear dirt seems too gravitate to mine when we're heading somewhere hehehe

I have seen Jon & Kate a few times, and after getting to see her in different scenarios, she makes me kind of crazy. She tries to be the ultimate perfectionist and control freak, and I think it's a little hard to live life that way, especially with eight kids. I do give her credit for having a clean house with all those kids, and six of them being toddlers. She does have a maid though, doesn't she?

I agree, the house on LPBW is a sty. I can't imagine letting a camera crew in with the house looking like that. As far as Jon and Kate.... I feel badly for Kate because she seems to be so concerned about appearances (the house, the kids) that she's really missing out on all the great things she should be doing with those kids like getting down on the floor and playing with them or letting them get dirty. She never plays with them. Maybe it's just the way the show is edited but that is what stands out for me.
