DD 15 wants a job this summer. does anyone know of places that will hire a 15 year old? She did apply at Ocean Breeze yesterday, they hire 15 year olds. They asked for your GPA on the applications, good idea I think so they get level headed kids to work there. She is a 3.7 so no problem there.

I really don't know of any places-my son will be 15 in a couple of weeks and wants a job so bad. I had actually mentioned Ocean Breeze to him a few weeks ago, because he mentioned that it would be cool to be a lifeguard. One of Patrick's best friends has worked there every summer for the past 3 or 4 years, so they must treat the kids pretty well. We are going shopping for prom stuff today (she and Pat are going as dates), so I'll ask her opinion. Good luck to your daughter!

How about the YMCA by Mount Trashmore ? Or, the city run summer day camps ?

Check with the City's Park and Rec. I don't know about now, but when I was 15, I got a job as a Park Aid. Of course I'm almost <cough> now so that was over 10 years ago...hehe.... Mt. Trashmore was my first Park Aid job, but they have Red Mill, Bayside, Munden's Point, and a few others I think. It's worth a look.
