Were you shocked that Michael Johns was voted off tonight? I admit that Dream On was a bad song selection for him but I thought he had a stronger fan base. Ryan wasn't very nice when he told Michael that last year they didn't vote anyone off for Idol Gives Back week. Why did Ryan say that when Michael was voted off anyway? Did you see Paula hugging Michael so tightly? She didn't want to let him go. If he wasn't married, Paula would probably go after him herself! I hope Michael will get a good recording contract.

I was surprised about the bottom three....Carly even though she was is my favorite....she was the only one I expected to be there. Both Syesha and Michael, I was shocked over. I thought for sure it was going to be both Cook's and Carly, with Kristy Lee leaving.

I am pretty sure that Ryan reads the cards as they are given to him....but that move about "LAST YEAR WE DIDN"T SEND ANYBODY HOME..but this year we are " was really low.

I think Kristy is working her way up as long as her song choices continue to improve. There must be a big country music base and maybe they are coming back after the Carrie Underwod year.

Carly did not give an inspiration performance...the comment about her looking angry ( increasingly) was on target.
Michael made a horrible song choice and delivered it with too much Aerosmith as some of his earlier songs have been too much Queen....and not enough Michael

I totally agree - what a d*ck - did you see that glimmer of hope in Michael's eyes and then just that fast Ryan say "you're leaving" I absolutly hate Ryan! I don't care if it was something he was told to say, it was mean!

I want to see the numbers - I cannot believe Michael got the lowest calls! He was in my top 4 along with both Davids and Carley. I had Brooke in there as one of my top 5 but she is beginning to irriate me with her cutsie attitude.

I read today that Ryan is taking over for Regis. I hope that is a bad rumor.

I hated he was voted out.

But I loved the song they sang as a group at the beginning with the choirs!! That was one of the best ones ever.
