Interesting shopping trip with my DS

AJ is 22 and recently came back home after living in his own place for 9 months. it seems he learned a few thingsa bout shopping while on his own. Turns out he knows a good price for ground meat, what good meat looks like and is not afraid to dig to the bottom of the meat case for the newest and better looking meat. But the child still will not use a coupon to save his life. I jsut get "mom do you have . . (fill in your blank)?"

I am sure he will learn to use coupons..especially if he gets stuff almost free.

My kids are very good about spotting the mark-downs, clearance sales.
I have always took the kids shopping with me since they were little (mostly out of necessity).
I think that helps alot to encourage certain types of shopping habits. Sometimes it would wear me down to shop with them but now seeing how the kids shop it was worth the time.

My 9 year old dd loves to use coupons. After I cut out the ones I want, she takes the remainder and cuts out any she thinks she will use, LOL...its's very cute actually. She bought herself a coupon organizer and tries her best to keep them in order. I'm very proud of her and hope she keeps it up. So who knows your son may get into coupons yet!

My DS (almost 17) uses gum coupons all the time. He's a penny pincher from the word go.
