How do you avoid those frown lines?

Please share your tricks!

Yes, I'm a the age where you'd expect a few of these little wrinkles. But I don't like them between my eyes, it looks like I'm sort of mad, which I'm not.

Suddenly, I find that my "expressionless expression" has 2 little lines beginning to form. If I have to have these lines, I DON'T want them in place when I'm not even attempting to frown!

I know it's not because I need glasses - I just had an eye exam.

For about 2 weeks I've been trying to be more conscious of it - I keep my eyes open a little wider when I think about it (sort of to "retrain" my facial expressions), but I am afraid that's creating a "surprised" look.

I'm actually considering going to bed with tape across my eyebrows to keep my forehead from allowing a frown while I sleep!

I'm very faithful to my eye serum and night cream.

What else do YOU do??? Am I missing any good non-invasive, home-remedy tricks?

good luck is all I can say! I try not to frown during the day and laugh a lot. I use a night cream (thicker) between my eyes and on my forehead during the day. I don't know if it's helped me much but my DH never used skincare and was starting to get crows feet and frown lines and since I got him to start on skincare (cleanser, lotion, etc), they are GREATLY diminished. He uses the Men's line of Neutratgena. It is such an improvement I am thinking of trying the mens line (and it's cheaper)

I am getting those too... mine are *worry* lines (not frown lines). Ha ha.

Several things:

*Sleep on your back, gravity.
*Exfolliate with a good scrub about once or twice a week (ie St Ives Swiss Formula Apricot Scrub)
*Moisturize and drink water (or move to a humid climate?!).
*Use sun protection (ie hat but not a purple one YET, sunscreen).
*Laugh, laugh, laugh... my teenage goddaughter tells me not to *worry* about those lines; just make sure that the smile lines are deeper then the *worry* lines. I like that!

I have been blessed over the years to not have to deal with acne associated with oily skin... well, then I deal with this dry skin that holds lines. I too have fretted over those lines as I have been edging toward the mid-40's but am coming to learn to embrace them! You can't turn back the hands of time and you have EARNED them!

Thanks. ladies!

Sexysmurf - I'm running to check out that men's Neutrogena line. How typical that the good stuff would be targeted to men! Very inspired to check that line out, though.

And Cuthie, thanks for the tips - especially sleeping on the back. I can do that!! Will give it a try.

My quest is NOT to erase the signs of my age, but to minimize the ones in the middle of my eyes - the "worry" ones
