Have any of yall heard that she was leaving the news spot? I was so disappointed for her to leave the Today Show, I just loved her there. I haven't been able to really relate to Meredith Viera. Now I hear that she is about to resign. Do any of yall miss her on the Today Show? I can't help but wonder what she will do now. I'm sure she is fine financially, but that would have to be a blow to the ego. I wish she wouldn't have left to begin with!!!

I am sure she has got millions, and will be snapped up by another morning show (look at Kathie Lee as an example)

I heard she and Anderson Cooper from CNN might be "traded" (if that's how you refer to such a thing with news people!).

I think she was way better suited to the kind of news where you could infuse your personality, such as she did w/Matt Lauer each mornng. The format for a real nightly news show didn't seem like it was ever going to bring out her best skills. I can see why she thought it would, since I think she had such a respect for "serious journalism", but it just made her seem so "forced" or something.

I can't stand her either. All I can say is good riddance. What were they thinking when they put her in that spot?

I am another anti-Katie person, but I also don't like Meredith either. I think they should of given the job to Ann, who I love, and found someone else for Ann's spot. Anderson Cooper would do a great job, if he did nightly news, plus he gives you something nice to look at

I read that Katie will take over for Larry King when he retires. I don't have anything against Katie.

I liked Katie on The Today Show. Don't care for Meredith. Hope she isn't around long.

I liked Katie Couric on the Today Show. Didn't really watch her on the nightly news because we are typically busy when it comes on. I heard that she was going to leave on her own terms and would possibly stay through the elections.

I think Anderson Cooper is a great replacement! He is a great reporter/anchor. He especially earned a lot more respect covering Katrina. He really put a human side to the storm and covered more than just New Orleans.

Hummm, had not heard she might replace Larry King...I can not see anybody filling his shoes.

I'm an ABC girl - I prefer Good Morning America and Peter Jennings and since he died, Charlie Gibson has done a great job. I liked him on GMA, too, though.

I never got into Today or Katie Couric. I liked Meredith on The View, but tried watching Today a couple times, but just don't care for it. I've flipped over in the evenings and don't care for Katie there, either.

If I remember right, I think truble went to school with Katie, and was a dorm mate or something like that.

I always remembered this, because she gave some insight into her personality that really influenced how I felt about Katie.
I know I don't have much respect for her, but I did like her a lot on the Today Show. I only watched it a few times, but I thought she was kind of cute when I did see her. But knowing what she is really like..... lol

I think it was a bad mistake, as well, to place her on the news show.

This is my thoughts too. I think Ann got jipped out of that job....she would have been much better then either of them too. I'm just glad that she stuck around even though she didn't get the promotion.

I also like Ann. I also like the pregnant chick that has been on for awhile (I am very tired). She is so pretty and likeable. But while we are at it, I LOVE KATHIE LEE!!! I think she is great, and am SO GLAD she is back!!

I liked Katie on the Today show and honestly havent even watched her on the night time news. I just dont have time.

I have adjusted to Meredith but dont watch the Today show as much as I used to.

She was my resident adviser my first year in college -- we lived next door to each other in the dorm for the entire school year.

Let's just say that I have no reason to doubt every horrible story that comes out about her.

I liked her on the Today Show. I don't watch CBS news, I never have, just can't get into the visual they have.....seems old and bland, to me.

I read that she won't be "let go" until after the election, if at all, and it will depend on the viewing stats. They are currently in 3rd of the 3 big ones (ABC, NBC,CBS - in no particular order).
