What color is your laundry room?

Ours has never been painted and is fairly small. It is just big enough to fit a washer & dryer, a small freezer and has a closet like area for the water heater and that is it. I am trying to figure out what color would go best in there, but every time I think of something, I'm not sure it would be such a good idea. Maybe if I hear what other people have, then I can make up my mind.

Thanks

What's a laundry room?

My W&D are in the pantry, sorta like a big closet.

Cement blocks painted white. Would look better if painted, but I would need to paint the kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms first! (Not Gonna Happen)

Ours is a soft lilac. The only reason we painted it is we had a lot of paint leftover after we did the bathroom.

Sunflower Yellow
Country style decor with a few black and white cow accents and wall art.
My maytags are white but we think we'll replace sometime in the next few years with something black.

I love it! DH helped my kids do it one day while I was out of town! They did so good!

My current laundry room is in an up north woodsy type breezeway decorated in browns and greens. When I was growing up, however, my Mom had the best laundry room decor -- she had white wall paper with the words "I Hate Laundry Rooms" written all over in different script. It still makes me smile to think about it!

My laundry room is a sunny yellow. I have a laundry themed broder 3/4 of the way up the wall. The border has yellows, blues, greens and reds in soft, muted shades. Since the laundry room doesn't have any windows, and it is the first room entered from the garage ,I wanted the room to be bright and welcoming.

Mine is a closet in the mud room and it's a pale yellowish color. My mother's is blue and she found a border of clothes handing on the line that's really cute.

Chelmo, yours sounds like the same border my mother has!

Our laundry room is painted green. I love it. It is open to the kitchen and living via a small hallway. The hallway, living room and laundry room are all the same color.

Thank you everyone for your responses. We have a lot of very light blue paint left over from previous paint jobs, but I kind of wanted something just a little different for this room. Maybe something that is totally different. You have given me some really good ideas !!

Mine is white, but I bought a pretty valence that is black with beautiful flowers on it. That one small touch really makes me smile when I go in there to wash clothes.

I want my neighbor's laundry room. It's the everyday entrance to the house (not for visitors) and is bright fiery red-orange. It's gorgeous. Mine is glossy white ..........b.o.r.ing.

I'd like to do up our laundry room. Right now it's a drab and boring place. Ours houses our washer/dryer, some shelves for cleaning products and such (would like to have cabinets w/doors to cover it all up) and the cats litter box.

My laundry room is whit-ish lol. It definitely looks alot better since I put new floors throughout the house and put shelves into laundry room that are organized within an inch of their lives. But it's so small that I have dreams that will never be fulfilled sigh.

I haven't been around here because of school and life ... just wanted to pop in and say that my utility room is my laundry room. I am planning to paint it a sunny yellow or soft lilac this summer. I will be enrolling in only one class so I will have lots more time.

Ours is still 'builder white' -- haven't painted it yet, but when I do, it will probably be either light yellow or green. It's very small -- washer, dryer, 2 cabinets hanging on the wall, cat littler box and where I store the mops/brooms and that's it. No room for anything more.

I have a handmade wall hanging that my grandmother made. It hung in her casual dining room for many years. When she passed away, I inherited it. I loved it, but it didn't really go with the decor of the rest of my house, but it looks nice in the laundry room.
