Let's see... Pay for the ever rising gasoline bill, buy some groceries that are skyrocketing. It's laughable that this is such a huge windfall. Paying $4 a gallon for gas is going to eat up a large portion. People are trying to keep their head above water, this money will be going to help do that. $1200 in this economy is a drop in the bucket.

Totally agree!

The other day the news had an analyst on predicting $10 a gallon in the next few years. OUCH!!!! The average person's salary is not keeping up with these huge rises in food and transportation. The tax rebates are a joke. A very temporary fix to a major problem...is not going to cure the economy's woes!

I was going to add it to my dining room table fund, but that was before the gas prices started raising a cent a day. Now I am going to put it into a savings...With Delaware cutting $30 million in education this year, DH job might be in jeopardy. I might need the money to move.

I have so much that I could do with the money that I don't know what to do with it. I am going to put some back for the kids some school clothes. At least I know that it will be there when they need it.

My main focus right now is finding a job. How the heck do you get a job when you have been a SAHM for the past 9 years? How are you suppose to get any experience if no one will hire you?

Anyways I will be glad when the tax rebate will come to us. It sucks because we have to wait until June.

We had a patio cover/roof put over our deck so we can enjoy it in the summer. Cost a lot more than our rebate will be but it will go towards that. We are using it as it was intended to be used...to be spent

We're each taking our 'portion'....I'm using some for new clothes for me, and the rest will go into my savings account. Now that I have a new car, I'll need to sock some away for snow tires and other good stuff (accessories that aren't available yet, being a 2009 I don't think anything is available right now...). Not sure what dh is doing with his (will probably go towards a new gun or something shooting related ), but for the girls I will get them some new clothes (also save some for school clothes) and let them spend a little on whatever their hearts desire. The rest will go into savings accounts for them that I want to open.

We're putting most of our in the K-1 fund- hoping to get the tank filled to the top this summer. Possibly put a little toward the credit card too.

Once the IRS takes their sahre (I owe from 2006) I'll be paying bills. Sorry wish I could spend it on myself but with a $200 electric bill and $80K in hospital bills no way.

We are putting the entire amount towards DH's truck payment.

Our goal is to pay it off this summer, and then use the money that would normally be the truck payment to dent other credit card bills. We need to have at least one card paid off in order to go on our vacation next year.

Our long-term goal is to just have my car payment and no credit card debt. We will meet that goal eventually.

Unfortunately ours is going to just help with everyday life. Our car is in the shop and the repairs will be almost $900. The rest will go toward bills-fun, fun, fun!

Ours is either going towards our trip to the beach this summer or the big screen tv we're planning to buy. We're doing both, so I guess it will go towards whichever one we pay for first.

If we get one , still have not received any kind of notices that we are even getting a rebate. But if we do, We have a MAJOR repair here that has to be fixed to the tune of 2800.00 +. we just spent over 1000.00 2 years ago to have it fixed. Now we are here fixing it again this year....If we do get the rebate, I'm sure it will not even be close to 2800.00. What ever we do get, we'll still have to get a loan form the bank, I REFUSE to put it on a CC.I wanted so badly to pay off 2 more CC with that rebate should we get it, But doesn't look like we are going to be able to do that now.
