I got a little chuckle over the irony that when I unloaded my coffee table box today- it has huge letters going across the box. MADE IN CHINA.


Maybe Value City needs to change the name


No offense to China, because I am a huge Honda fan- in fact, we only buy Hondas - it just seemed funny to me at the time.

LOL! Nothing seems to be made in the good old USA...even companies with then name America in them...

Guess it is just added to the long, long list of companies that offshores their jobs...even the US gov't offshores...

Honda is a Japanese company

And I think most Hondas, Toyotas, etc, are made in North America anyway. Never quite what you'd expect.

Not to change the topic, but has anyone noticed the change in quality of Levis since they left the U. S.?

They used to last for years, and the quality of the cotton was awesome. Now, we are lucky if dh's jeans last a year. They are thin and the cotton is substandard for what I have always expected from Levis.

Yes, China is taking over so much of the furniture market, the small town we live in was once home to a major brand of furniture "BenchCraft" till they started sending everything to China. They will be closing the factory in a couple of months leaving hundreds of people without a job here
