Yep. It's stupid. Just like a lot of commercials. DH is in radio advertising and he says that the point is to get you to remember the commericial...and their product.

Mission accomplished, I guess!

Is that the one where a family is sitting in the woods ? Then the man calls up to make a reservation for a hotel ? Cause of the bees ? I think it is dumb , too. I also did not understand the lady having a baby, going thru a tunnel..

I love the commerical of Meatloaf, Tiffany and Adam Cagle playing his son for Go Phone.

Do you mean the one where the guy is on the phone booking hotel rooms and says "...and we'll need a spa treatment for my wife?". I thought they were mosquitos. Anyway, it's still a stupid commercial.

The go phone commercial with Meatloaf is my absolute favorite commercial right now! It's the one commercial I don't ff through!

I thought it was mosquitoes also. Stupid either way though. The other stupid commercial to me is the shaving cream with the "mini" girls spraying shaving cream all over then rocketing into his nose.

I was listening to the tv last night while online and kept thinking I was hearing the "beep beep" that the tv stations use when they are about to broadcast a weather alert. Thought I was losing my mind and muted the tv to see if I was hearing things.

Then I wondered if the van (Honda Odyssey maybe?) company had subliminally inserted those tones in the audio just to make people look at the tv. Just a thought

they're mosquitoes. It's just to prove that even in the middle of nowhere camping, you can still get Verizon cell service.

I don't know why she talks like that, but the people who are w/ the verizon guy are simulating the family members. As though they were giving birth in the taxi or camping out - in order to make sure if the scenario happened, they could still get service.

Ok, I'll probably do a terrible job of trying to explain it so apologies in advance if this is confusing. The Verizon Network people are always testing out different scenarios (can you hear me now?) that people might find themselves in. There is another one where a woman is in labor in a cab going into a tunnel -- the Verizon people are in the situation first -- to show that you can get phone service anywhere you might find yourself -- then it switches to the "real people" in the situation. I guess it's a spinoff on their commercials where the whole network of Verizon people are there wherever you go with your phone.
