I'm old-fashioned that way.

I wonder if something is wrong with their website now. I thought that the news said that everyone who was to have direct deposited would have their deposit by this Friday. I might be wrong.

You're probably right, but I prefer to think that the IRS just thinks we're stupid, LOL.

Are your boys older? I just checked my college boys and it says they do not qualify for it because they are a dependent on my taxes.

Definetely a bummer for them.

My older boys are not listed as dependents on my taxes.
They claim themselves.

I saw an article that said some college students that are claimed on their parents taxes as dependents would not get anything and also the parents would not receive anything additional for the child.
Parents would only receive for their child if they are under 17 by Dec. 31, 2007.
Edit to give correct info. from Stimulus Payments: Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
(But to qualify, a child must be under age 17 as of Dec. 31, 2007. In other words, if a child was 16 or younger at the end of 2007 and meets the other eligibility requirements, then the child will qualify for the $300 stimulus payment.)

It is a bummer that your boys will not receive anything,I am sure being in college they could have used that money.

The schedule this website takes you to is not updated with the new release direct deposit dates. In one spot it says you have to have filed your 07 return and in another spot it says you must have filed at least 6 wks ago in order to get your rebate. I think the 6 wks thingy may be why so many are getting the error message.

I wonder what it says if you had to amend your taxes.

I do wonder if that would make a difference.

I messed up the first time I tried it too. It kept asking me if I made a mistake and I just knew I was right.
So I followed their instructions and brought up a copy of our taxes and filled it out by what line they told me. I WAS doing it wrong! For exemptions I was just putting in dependents, not including me and dh. Once I added 2 more to the number I got all my info!

I put everything correct, including exemptions (checked my taxes filed to be sure) and it still says the information is incorrect.

Yes , I brought up a copy I had on file and put in the right information. I will try later today again. Thanks ....... I may even call the IRS. I know we both should have received ours this week.

We file separately, because we get more back for some reason, He claims his daughter and I claim my son.

Well I am kind of in shock we did ours with Turbo Tax months ago and it won't tell me anything for mine. Ours was DD so I assumed we would be getting it soon. Now I'm scared what if we don't get one for some reason? We are not above the limit and we got a letter from the IRS and I know I am putting in the right info so what's up? Now I'm scared.

Chill.....several people are plugging in their info and not getting a reply as to when the money will be there.
Some people are pushing just a bit too eagerly about getting or not getting your rebate.

19 through 25
May 30
26 through 38 June 6
39 through 51 June 13
52 through 63 June 20
64 through 75 June 27
76 through 87 July 4
88 through 99 July 11

Seems you've solved our "mystery"! I put the zero in front of my exemptions and it worked for me as well! Great job! Supposed to be deposited on May 9th for me!!

Does anyone know what this funny business is about of if you have a business listed on your tax return they dock you $600?

I can't find any info on it. I have a business, but only had LOSS with no income at all (started it, advertised, did licensing, then got a full time job instead..LOL)

So I did claim it on our taxes, but didn't do any home deductions, just listed it and put down my advertising and licensing costs.

Anyone know???? I am going to be so bummed if we lose $600 for a measly $25 in tax savings. ugh.

Wow I am impressed. Usually it takes several months for me to get dd's fathers tax return IF he has any. I got this one today!!! Minus the $4 service fee that they always charge. LOL.. I bet he is expecting this check sent to him. This will be a great help to help with dd's college books.
