Talking ok....You have $200 to spend and an entire day free...

You have been given $200 and an entire day free. (free of guilt too!)
(edited to add..you MUST spend EVERY PENNY on yourself)

What do you do?

This is a toughie...do we have to spend the money on ourselves...or our family?

If I can only spend it on me...a couple new bras...come on, we all need them! A massage and maybe eyebrow wax

If I can spend on my family...I would change things up and visit Great Wolf Lodge (new to our area)...rooms are a range of $180-300 (and up) a night for a family...so I would take use there and use the indoor water park and stay the night. The kids would love it! (the two children and their two parents...lol)

I would sleep all day and hire someone to clean and organize my house!

I don't really need any "things", but I do miss my cleaning lady and my spotless house.

A new outfit (off the clearance rack of course), lunch out, and a massage with eyebrow wax.

I'd tell dh to take the day off. Go to DC to places we haven't been, have lunch, maybe... get a nice room (ahem).

I would buy an illuminated keyboard.I'm tired of typing in the dark and having to correct my grammar errors all the time.
I would also buy a couple pairs of new jeans and a couple pairs of new shoes.

Well, that $200 wouldn't get me very far because I would have to fill up the gas tank first

Maybe after that, we could go eat lunch at McDonalds?? LOL

I would go grocery shopping my favorite activity. Then I would go home and make some meals. LOL
I would go to the baseball game and get the expensive seats that come with food.

I would love this too. But I know what would happen.

I would be sitting there all alone in a nice peaceful, quiet house ( does that really exist?) And I would think to myself hrmm since no one is home I could clean out < insert room here> while no one is home to get in my way, Oh and I have been wanting to paint < insert room here> I could do that since no one was home. And there would go my nice quiet relaxing day.

there would definitely be at least a pedicure, and a massage as well as a fabulous lunch. Hopefully I would have enough left over to go buy an outfit or two.

I'd get my hair color (highlighted/lowlighted) and cut. I'd still not shell out for the styling -- I prefer doing that myself! and with whatever is left, I'd invite a friend or two to do lunch and a chick flick matinee ... my treat!

I would hit the craft store and stock up on more yarn and such then go home and crochet.

Well once we get the stimilus check, I will have $300 to spend on myself. My plans are a pedicure and having my house cleaned. But then I started looking up vacationing at Hilton Head, I can't decide. My husband will have to kick in his stimulus money if we do the latter.

I would get a decent motel room (just me) and sleep and watch TV and sleep and maybe make a call or 2 to friends and sleep. You did mean 24 hours right? And you did say no guilt? I would also have some form of alcohol. I would also order in a really fattening meal and then take a nap.

I would take THIS $200 and have my house cleaned. Then I would take the $200 Visa from Walgreens Spa Rewards and actually go to the spa!

1st stop--my favorite tattoo place for a new tattoo
2nd stop--bookstore for a new book or two
3rd stop--somewhere to get a cup of ice and a diet pop

then either to my back deck, or a park to laze around and read the book in one sitting!

Wow toothfairy, that hadn't crossed my mind until you mentioned it!! But now, it sounds like the ultimate bliss! A nice hotel room, some restaurants nearby, a tv remote control, man I am drooling!! Definantly what I would do!

Ladies - get out there and do these things for yourselves!! While the $200 and one day that the OP specified isn't a whole lot to go wild with, your requests are really modest and I wish that you would all make them come true. You are so worth it.

This is on our "to do" list for this summer also. We are in Aberdeen and I have family in Centralia. We drove by it yesterday and the parking lot was full. The website makes it look amazing!

As for me, if I had to spend the money on myself, I would buy the expensive pair of Coach sandals (not the brand name I am after as much as the style - it is exactly the style I am looking for as I am determined to find my perfect pair of summer sandals!) that I have been drooling over for a couple weeks:
COACH Jacque Heels Pumps Slingbacks Womens: 12-1C-1364-1 ShoeMetro - Discount Nike Jordan Shoes, Diesel Shoes and Born Shoes. Buy Women's Shoes Pay Less

After that, and taxes, I figure I would have about $95 left, so I would go to Ross and buy some new summer shirts and maybe another pair of shorts.

I would go to the big city & find some clothes that actually fit me. That would probably easily spend the $$

Or, I would go to the local spa & get a massage with 1/2 of the money, and get my hair done with the other 1/2,

$200 - GUILT FREE - One Day...I would give the kids movie and arcade $$ and hubby golf $$ and send them away for the day (Giving them money to go away is For Me). Then I would go buy the Thornbirds DVD (still have not gotten it), stop at California Pizza Kitchen and get a Spinach Pizza to take home (I've only gotten it once, because no one else will eat it, but I love it), Stop at Dairy Queen and get a quart container of their ice cream (Fresh, not the stuff in the freezer), Go Home, watch the movie, eat my pizza and ice cream all by myself, then go take a nap because after eating the pizza and ice cream I'll be tired. After my nap, I'd come on the computer and play on POGO for the rest of the 24 hours.

Go skydiving again. It's been five years, and I need another dose! I would get my bestfriend to go with me. After jumping, I would just hanging around watching others jump. Stop for Cold Stone on the way home. Sounds like a perfect day to me.
