I just love Rob Thomas. Actually, my oldest is only 17, but I would love this song for his wedding-it is just so fitting.

I work at a lot of weddings and I would say the majority of Mother - Son dances are done to Kenny Rogers Through The Years. Personally, I wouldn't worry so much about picking a big sentimental song, pick one that you like and enjoy the spotlight with your son. Congratulations!!

I know my mom danced with my brother to "Wind Beneath my Wings"...

When my son got married, he and I danced to "Did You Ever Know You Are My Hero?" When I got married this past summer, my son (he is my only child and also gave me away) and I danced to, "Have I told you lately that I love you?"

My DH and his mom danced to "Through the Years" also.

I've also seen sons and moms dance to "The Rose" which I think is a beautiful choice.

Went to a wedding last fall and the mother/son dance was "I Loved Him First". Someone sang it instead of using the soundtrack (the real words are "I Loved Her First" )-- it talks about a father/mother loving their child before anyone else did and even though they're getting married, there will always be a special place in their heart for their love. It's a very good song.

Check these out...some good suggestions. There are some duplicates, but there's a lot of variety too.

I'm glad you liked it. I was helping a friend find a song for her to dance with her son at his wedding. She loved this one and her son VETOed it because it made HIM cry! I think this is one of my all time favorite mother/son songs.
