Need Help With A 70's Song!!

This is making me crazy! Does anybody remember the name of a song that goes , part of the lyrics, "Like a picture she was laying there, moonlight dancing off her hair" something something "we made love in my Chevy van and that's allright with me". I know if it was a guy that sang it, but can't remember the name of the song or the group that sang it. I know I'm showing my age! Can anyone help me??

It's not hard to find songs if you know a bit of the lyrics.

I Google 'em. Put some of the lyrics in the search bar with the plus sign and quotes, like this:

+"moonlight dancing off her hair" +"chevy van" +"lyrics"

Voila!

+"moonlight dancing off her hair" +"chevy van" +"lyrics" - Google Search

I LOVE music and since DJ's hardly ever announce song titles/artists anymore - at least, not like they used to - I have to search often.

Good song!

Man Ambrianna,
Thanks for stealin' my thunder. I wanted Ballmom to think I was the greatest and the brightest! Now she knows the truth-I am merely adequate.

I not only remember the song, it's been on my ipod for years! It's funny how I look at songs these days, I loved these songs from my teen years, but do an inward cringe if my 13 or 9 year old DDs happen to overhear them. Not only Chevy Van, but Thunder Island, or Heaven on the 7th Floor, or Hot Child in the City, or dozens of others that I'm sure you could add. Maybe it's true that young people just hear the music and not the lyrics! Anyway, I'll continue to take my chances, because I love the music!

This was one of my favorite songs and I have one of those Time/Life CDs AM hits of the 70s that has this song as well as "Seasons in the Sun" "Beach Baby" "Wildfire" etc

Man Sewhandy !!! I forgot about "Thunder Island"!!! But I'm the same way about my daughters, I flip if they hear certain songs that I used to love! "Afternoon Delight' is another one!

I have Sirius in my car...LOVE it! When dd's ask "who sings this"........I just hit the info button and voila.

I remember the Chevy Van song too. I usually keep my Sirius radio tuned to the 60's/70's. (unless the girls are in the car, then it's tuned to Disney )

Janenga , (my new BFF due to her box sending capabilities), I would love to have Sirius! I have Satellite TV at the house and they have music channels. I turn it onto the 70's music alot. Also at Christmas they have a Holiday music channel. Not as cool as serious, but still good!!
