Boys' Hair -- Spiking Product Recommendation?

My teen son had me cut 4 inches off yesterday. He is so handsome underneath!!! I think he's getting interested in girls. Sigh. At least his hygiene might improve if he is -- I must look at it in a positive way, right?!

He wants to spike his hair and so we did mousse with a little bit of pomade and hairspray while it was wet.

I think it will sink by PE so am wondering if there is something he can use that will last through it all... any suggestions?

Thanks.

honestly? The cheaspest hair gel you can buy will work the best. We had a friend suggest Elmer's school glue when the boys had mohawks last summer!

"Got to be glued" works wonders. I find it cheapest at Wal-Mart. They also have a freeze spray. This is what my son uses on his mohawk...they work great

I told him to research Guy Fieri (Food Network) online to see what he uses... he didn't find the answer but he did find that he might want it bleached out like Guy. Oh my.

Thanks for the product tips!

Another vote fot GOT2BE "GLUE" It comes in a yellow tube, and DS can put a book on his head and it stays. We have tried it ALL. Got mine at Walgreens, have seen at cvs, too. I am not in Wal mart often, so no idea on price.

Another vote for Got2Be Glued......as a mom of 3 boys I use tons of this stuff....if you watch Walgreens and Riteaid often run it B1G1F. I try to stock up at that time.

Hands down (and hair STRAIGHT UP), my vote is also for Got2Be Glued!

I had bought it for my girls for 'Crazy Hair Day' at their school and it WORKS! The girls LONG hair was spiked and wild all day long.

I even use it to spike my 2yo DS's hair. He LOVES it!

I appreciate this info as well-will need some help to try to look cool when my hair gets a bit longer (still at buzz cut stage) to style. I tried some gel last night, and it just looked greasy. I miss my hair!!!

Gels tend to look greasy, which isn't so good on women's hair. Wax (seriously, it's called that) might work better.
