No, I don't. I've been room mom and have never gotten a gift. The only thing our room mom for my DD's class did all year but call people to work at the school carnival and offer to buy a teacher's gift for end of the year and put your childs name on the card if you sent her a check in the mail. I don't think my son's class has a room mom ???? He's in 3rd grade. I was never asked and I don't think they have one. The school doesn't really have many parties so there isn't a lot for a room mom to do. I do a nice teachers gift and give the school admin a nice gift because she is really helpful to me when I have questions, etc.

No, never. I've been room mom several times and never got a gift, nor have I given one when someone else had the honor. DDs teacher this year has written me several thank yous and given me a thank you gift for the hard work I've done for her. I don't expect parents to give me an end of year gift and frankly, I would be uncomfortable if someone did.

Room moms have never been included in end of year gifts for either of my girls classes. I do give the teachers an end of year gift. I try to include the principal, secretary, cafeteria workers, etc. My kids go to a tiny school though so it's much easier than it would be for most of you who have tons of school workers!

Yes I do get a small gift for the room parent. I have been a room parent many times and know
how much work is involved, and out of pocket expensive. The few times I have received a card
or small gift from a child has meant a lot to me.

As a teacher I get a gift for the room mom. She does so much for the class that I think it is a nice thing to do.

No, I don't give to the room mom either. I've also been one and didn't get anything.

I give the teacher a gift for Christmas, birthday and this week several for teacher appreciation, but not an end of the year gift.

We've never really had "true" room moms..But I'd rather give the volunteer a small token of our appreciation than give teacher gifts..I feel it's the teachers job to teach my kids.. So we don't give teacher gifts or ones for any other staff etc...It's not even acceptable in my job to accept a gift from a family member..
