I thought the thread about would you marry the same person was interesting and wanted to see how everyone felt about who they are now.
So have you changed since you married your spouse? If so, in what ways? Do you think your spouse loves you more for who you are now if you have changed?

I'm divorced but I know I changed through the years. I grew up, learned to speak up for myself but also became more patient and caring.

Great question - way easier to talk about the spouse than the 'self' - at least for me!! LOL.

I think I'm mostly the same - except a way more "square" version of myself (and I was already on the goody-goody side, but exponentially now that I'm a mom!) Otherwise, I think I'm the same. We are good to each other, DH makes me feel like it's still "us against the world" - so I hope he thinks it, too!

My SO has changed me. I am calmer and because he is so sensitive I think more carefully before I open my big fat mouth.

Basic personality, yes, I'm the same. But I think I've changed a little bit in a lot of areas, if that makes any sense. A bit more patient...a bit more tolerant...a bit more compassionate, etc.

He and his family have been wonderful influences on me. Not that I was an awful person, but I needed "honing" that I didn't get from my own family.

Since being with him, over these years, when I smile or laugh - it feels like it comes from my soul.

Horrifically corny, but oh-so true! LOL!
