Watching Ent. Tonight is like going to a dinner party and leaving very hungry

Is it just me????

Does that show not do anything but spend the entire 30 minutes teasing the viewer to stay tuned? I almost never watch that show, but the trailers sucked me in tonight "... watch as Barbara reveals what we never learned about Monica's dress..."

They proceeded to remind the viewers no less than 4 times during the 30 minute show to tune in for the big reveal on that one.

In the end, and in typical fashion, it turns out to be absolutely nothing. Monica had wondered whether "the stain" was either from Bill C., or spinach dip. Wow. Tomorrow's headlines, for sure.

I'm left realizing that the joke is on me - I invested 30 minutes to watch this!!

Am I the only one? Every time that show teases the viewer with an interesting trailer, isn't that all they end up doing --flashing the the contents of the trailer (and maybe 3 additional seconds) with perhaps an irrelevant comment tacked on by Mary Hart or the guy?

I feel the same way watching that show, as well as some of the entertainment shows on E. They build up the stories to appear so juicy and newsworthy. After anxiously waiting for answers, it turns out to be something not that juicy after all. I just look on the internet now, if I need to satisfy my curiousity.

No, you are not alone, I am embarrassed to say. I had started a thread awhile back about Dr. Phil and his wife divorcing, and it was all over an Entertainment Tonight commercial, they are ridiculous...

Actually, that hour btwn ET, Access Hollywood, etc., is one of my favorite times of the day if I can watch it. Why? Because I have been running around all day, and hopefully have just finished cleaning up the dinner mess, homework is done, DH is finally home, and it's not quite time to get the kids ready for bed, and I can just sit on the couch for the time and veg at the mindless shows, and not have to think for a few mins.

I agree with you devinmom....I really think one of those shows for a 1/2 hour would be more than enough! Dr Phil does that whole coming up crap over and over again too sometimes..... I like foreplay, but umm...ohh...never mind. LOL

Yep, I agree, that's why I don't watch TV before 8pm except for the rare Oprah or Ellen if I'm dead on my feet and need to rest for a bit before or while making dinner.

OMG, I totally agree with you! I have been sucked in several times by the teaser trailer -- only to find out that the trailer was the whole story (which, of course, is "no" story at all)
