We are planning to move to Roanoke, VA in the next few months and was wondering about school for my 6 yr old daughter. Anybody knows good private schools in Roanoke county or Botedourt county? Also which public school is good in these same area?

I've been thru Roanoke when we visited Natural Bridge. All I can say is, you better like mountains and the small town feel. It is surrounded. I liked it ok..sorry not much help.

We vacation right outside of Roanoke every year. Sometimes twice a year. There is a beautiful county outside of Roanoke called Bedford county. It is close to Smith Mountain Lake. Great area to raise a family. Honest, hardworking people. Here's a link to their area magazine.

Yes, it is a remote area with lots of mountains, farms and animals. There is another county called Moneta which is close to Bedford and Roanoke as well. Great area too. Honestly, I would love to move there. My kids just can't get enough of that place.
