Now I Know ANYTHING in Life Is Possible

Okay you guys already how corny I am and how spiritual and how seriously I take things.

(Warning-corniness to follow)

When I was a little girl David Cassidy was the first man I loved other than my Dad. His was the first music I listened to other than my parents' music. I cried myself to sleep at night because my love for him was bursting through my heart and I felt it was so UNFAIR and God was so CRUEL for not giving me the opportunity to talk to him and just prove how much I really loved him.

Well I TALKED TO and TOUCHED David Cassidy. He played at Seven Feathers Casino. He was so very gracious. He had a bit of laryngitis but he still sounded great! His voice is as beautiful as ever only much stronger and he's a much better singer. He plays guitar extremely well. My husband who is no fan but is the most wonderful husband ever for taking me there even enjoyed it and said he is a great guitar player.

He was so very gracious. He let us all come up to the stage and talk to and touch him (although some people just sat there and did not move, sing, or dance and one man behind me sat there the whole two hours with his arms crossed and a somber look on his face YIKES for his wife). I said "I've been in love with you since I was seven years old" He thought a moment and said "Oh seven I must've been ten" I shook his hand. My husband saw it and heard it but couldn't catch it on film.

Later at the end I touched his boot, his leg, (he is very very thin) and said "Please thank Kay for sharing you with us all these years" (Kay Lenz his exwife)

I was so happy. I literally lived a dream that night. He sang my three favorite songs of his. He shook my hand. He talked to and listened to me.

The only downfall is that there was no merchandise and no opportunity for signings. I brought my 1972 David Cassidy binder. I understand it might turn into a four hour fiasco and I would have gladly paid $20 for a personalized signature. I would have spent $100 on shirts too.

Anyway it was not only great but if you would have known me in the late 60s and early 70s you would know how much this means to me. I could meet Sean Penn, The Rolling Stones, Leonardo DiCaprio, whoever nobody would mean this much to me. This would not have been possible way back when.

From now on anytime I lose faith or think I cannot do something I will say " I touched David Cassidy I can do anything!" I will even have a shirt made up.

And all of you out there is you ever doubt yourself or lost faith just say "Anna touched and talked to David Cassidy--I can do ANYTHING"

I am on cloud nine!!!

I am the happiest woman in the world. I want to see him again and again. When I win the lottery I am going to book him twice--once for me, my sisters and friends, once just for me--and I will tell him to play whatever he wants to.

I warned you ahead of time this would be corny so if you're drowning in syrup don't blame me!

I am so glad you got to meet him live, in person. He sounds like a very pleasant person. So what are the 3 favorite songs? I used to love to watch the Partridge Family, which followed the Brady Bunch.

My three favorites are "Point Me in The Direction of Alberquerque" "Summer Days" and "Echo Valley 26809"

I swear I used to cry myself to sleep at night because life was so unfair and God was so cruel to keep my from my one true love!

Ah, OP! I absolutely have been there, but with me, it was Shaun Cassidy, not David! I used to sit for hours on my yellow gingham canopy bed changing the old lp's, rocking myself into a fantasy that included Shaun's limo getting lost and accidentally driving down our road. (Umm, northern Minnesota in the middle of nowhere, LOL!) Lately You Tube has been my friend and I've forced my daughters to listen to all of my old favorites...sigh...Jack Cassidy really knew how to make 'em

I know how you feel, he performed at the eBay convention a couple years ago and I raced down to the stage like a teenager!
