Hairspray (the cheap kind) is all I would try - might not work if coat went through dryer already, as it 'sets.'

Good luck!

you tried everything I could think of, but when all else fails, I set it out in the sun....it has amazing bleaching properties and if some of the bleach and hairspray is working a bit, it might help a little.

Rubbing Alcohol. That is why the hair spray usually helps, it is the alcohol in there that gets the ink out. I take a cotton ball, and soak it with alcohol, then dab. You will go thru several cotton balls, and be sure to put something behind it (like another cotton ball-use 100% cotton, not synthetic) to soak up the ink and alcohol on the other side.

After you get most of it, put Spray and Wash stain stick on it, and run thru the wash....repeat as needed.

This has worked MANY times for me.

I'm not sure why the hairspray didn't work. You do have to saturate the stain. Are there just spots or is everything blue?

My next step would be oxyclean. You should have seen that stuff take red wine out of my carpet! It just disappeared.

I wear scrubs for work too and get all kinds of stuff on mine. I have used Zout. It works the best even after the stains have been set in.

I second the rubbing alcohol.
We used those alcohol prep packs at the hospital.

ink good as gone.

I once washed all of my uniforms with a 4 color pen. What a mess. Mom knew just what to do. Lestoil,
It is sold in most grocery stores where the floor cleaning products are. We saturated the cloths with the lestoil and let them sit for a couple of hours . Did work the lestoil (Straight out the bottle ) into the stains. All the ink came out in one wash. I would wear gloves it is strong. but the smell comes out when you wash the item.

If the item has gone thru the dryer I have been sucessul getting it out using goo gone or goof off.
that I find in Lowes or home depot.

I found that rubbing alcohol only works if you get to the stain right away.
