Thursday, 5/15/08 UPDATE: Where's my Rebate Check?

The IRS has now begun mailing out the stimulus rebate checks. They are also concluding all direct deposits of the rebate checks this week.

If you don't find your money in your bank account by Friday, May 16th, then you will probably have to wait for a paper check in the mail. Check the IRS website (click above) for the "Where's My Stimulus Payment" page. Enter your personal information (it's safe), and you should be able to check on the status.

If you filed through TurboTax, TaxCut, TaxAct, or H&R Block, there is a chance you may have to wait for a paper check. Read more below.

If you will be receiving your Annual Tax Refund by mail, you may have to wait until as late as July 11th to receive yours in the mailbox (see schedule below).

And if you owe any back taxes or are behind in Child Support, the IRS will take whatever money you owe before you see a penny of your rebate.

Friday, 5/9/08 UPDATE: Paper Check mailings begin!

I got my TODAY!!!! I called the bank and they said it was deposited today!!! I'm so excited! It was just the pick me up I needed. Plus I got $600.00!!!! I have one minor child but my ex gets to claim him as a deduction but I get the earned income credit. It had looked like I wouldn't get credit for him on this rebate but I guess I did!!! Yipppppppeeeeeee! Since I just had to buy a riding mower yesterday this will really help!!!
