I am so annoyed! I just joined another freecycle group about 3 months ago and have posted a few times to get rid of our stuff, I have never replied for anything. I noticed that the moderator was always the first to reply that she wanted what I posted, the first time ok, the second time I gave it to her she was first, well now she did it again and I skipped her.

Now tonight I finally found something i can use! I was very quick to reply I was on the computer but I wasn't first! I just KNOW that it was the moderator, she wants everything! I almost had the nerve to ask the offerer who it was that wanted it, but I didn't.

That's not right, she sees the messages first because she has to approve them, therefore she gets all of the good stuff!

Is there anyone you can report her to?

I can see her doing that a little bit as a perk of being a moderator, but no way should she be taking such gross advantage.

I know this can be really frustrating. We have one woman (not the Mod, as far as I know) that asks for everything almost the instant it gets posted. It doesn't matter what it is, she wants it. However, no one has to give it to her just because she asks first, as the freecycler, you decide who gets your items. I usually give it to the first available to pick it up because I want it gone. I won't give it to the woman who asks for everything unless no one else responds within 24 hours. People on your list will figure out what she does, just like you have, and they'll pass her over more. She'll drop out when it stops working for her. If it's a large group, you could e-mail and offer to help out with the moderation so she doesn't get to pre-read them all.
