Today is my kids' last day...

They go back on August 4.

Friday's the last day here! Looking forward to not having to wake up at 6:30am, but not looking forward to the arguing and fighting, sigh.

Wow. we don't get out until June 13th.

Wow thats early. My son doesn't get out until June 11th. But then again they don't got back to school until the Wednesday after Labor Day.

Ours is out on Friday and we go back either the 10th or 11th of August. I am mixed with feelings of extreme dread and excitement. I really do enjoy having them around during the summers and hate it when they have to go back but I am not looking forward to the bickering.

We get out next Tuesday, May 28th. They go back August 18th.

Some areas of the country get out so early. My dd last day is May 31 and my sons get out out June 4. They get a two week break, then summer school for 5 weeks (yeah!).

Is it a private school or do all the schools in your area get out and return early?

We used to get out the second week of June and go back just after Labor Day.

The political system is broke and it's a joke.

I home school so we just keep going.The public schools here get out June 25. They go back the day after Labor Day.

School gets out on June 17th. Not sure of when we go back....its usually the last week in August.

We get out next Thursday, May 30th and go back the day after Labor Day. I really appreciate all the schools that go back before Labor Day because we have discovered that the last two weeks in August are the best weeks to vacation! All the sites are still open and there are no crowds! But Shh! Don't tell anyone our secret!

Thats when we get out also. Then back the day after Labor Day.

I'd rather they keep school open later and go back later, seems like it would make sense not to go back in the beginning of August when it's so hot, between baking the kids on the bus and the cost of running the A/C...

Does your school district have a lot of extra breaks, or a lot of snow days? My son school gets out a week prior and and doesn't go back until the Wednesday after Labor Day, in Sept.

I am amazed how different the school dates are.....

Monday the 19th was our last day. We go back August 11th.

When I was in school we always went back within a day or two of my birthday, which is August 21st.

Today was my kids last day too. I have no idea what day they start back. I know it's sometime in August and usually it's around the middle of August.
We're excited, ready to sleep later than 5:30 in the mornings and have a little summer fun.

Our last day is June 26th, and we go back in September

We actually don't have alot of extra breaks. We only have three days off for Thanksgiving week, while many schools in our area have the entire week off. The school year does allow three teacher workshop days (one of them will be this Friday, allowing the students to have a four day weekend with Memorial Day off). We usually get a week off at Christmas. We are actually going until June 17th this year because we need to make up two snowdays. We are allowed four snowdays, we ran over this year by using six days. I think we go back the last week in August. Our area has been going back before Labor Day for years now.

mine get out this friday i have 3 that passed and 1 that will have to do a month of summer school couse he did not pass the georiga state test by 11 points

We don't get out until June 23rd!!!! We still have more than a month to go!!

And - get this - we go back BEFORE labor day!

We usually have 183 school days - there is a week of for Christmas, one week for February, and one week for April vacations.

I'm so jealous of all of you guys! But enjoy the time!

Last day of regular classes is 6/16, graduation is the 25th and he starts college 9/2

Our schools don't get out until the 13th either, and I am so glad; I need the time! I have one kid graduating the next day and still need to plan the party, plus I have been subbing @the schools and could use the extra bucks!

We get out June 18th and go back Aug. 28th.

We get 3 days at Thanksgiving (Wed-Fri), 3 weeks at Christmas and 1 week in Spring.

My kids last day is tommorrow. I am ready for Summer and sleeping in a little!
I work at a different school district and I am out starting at noon on the 28th.

This will be my first time not working in the summer, and I am very excited about it.

Our teens get out June 5 but next Tuesday will be their last day (they are doing finals early). We are taking off for a two week European cruise on Wednesday! They are stressed now studying for finals (they'll have a couple on Friday) but it will be worth it.
