I'm so happy David Cook won! He seemed really nice to the younger David too.
I really enjoyed the show tonight. I thought the opening number with the two Davids was great. I enjoyed the ZZ top number. I LOVED the Gladys Knight segment. That was hilarious!!!!!! I am looking forward to hearing Cooks songs.

I thought Carrie Underwood looked beautiful, but did anyone else notice her dress (or lack thereof)? I'm sure the people who were standing right under her got a 'full view' (if you know what I mean).

But hooray for David Cook. He deserved it!!

The SAME thought went across my mind concerning her dress!!! She did look beautiful and she's such a good singer!

Plus David Cook is HOT and I'm 51!!! lol

I am so miffed! I DVR'd the show because I was watching my Spurs play the Lakers and the darned show ran over and the DVR stopped right when Ryan was going to announce the winner. My DD told me Davic Cook won.

I would have been happy with either one winning. I'm just so sad I missed the end.

I recorded it on Tivo and it got as far as "The winner is David".
It was really quite funny. We had to run to the computer to find out the winner.
I thought I had added some time to record the end, but must have forgot!

LOL..My daughter & I were just watching it on DVR.. we fast forwarded it till the last couple minutes to see the winner.... We got up to & the winner is David..... Then the DVR says "keep longer" or "erase"..... we missed the winner.. the stupid DVR cut the most important ending.... we both had to run to the computer to find out who won.. We were both sooo glad he won...& YES He's HOT!!!!

I am so thrilled he won. I just looove loove him and think hes a real cutie. My dvr got to the point where it said David cook won and then it cut out! I wanted to hear him sing his final song, but was able to hear it this morning on the american idol site. David A will do well someone will scoop him right up.

Yeah, I can only imagine what a thrill that was for David C. I was thinking that was probably a highlight of his life up until that point-- I know it would be for me. I LOVED the Risky Business thing (not David A's version -- that was just awkward). This is the first season of AI that I've really watched and I have to say, I was hooked and I really enjoyed it..

Our recording cut off, not even 1 second after he started saying Cook...... While we were watching the ending the kids were getting a little upset, because they were sure it wouldn't be one there!

That happened last year! The show went long and people said that it cut off right as the winners were being announced.

David A, wow, what a voice... But, David C, wow, what stage presence!

Some of the biggest selling artists of my time (ie David Crosby, Michael McDonald, Jimmy Buffet, etc.) would lose on AI if it was based on voice only!

I'm almost 43 and I think he is VERY hot!!! I am SO glad he won.

I started screaming when Ryan announced the winner...DAVID......COOK! I think DC was shocked as well. He won by 12 million votes. Could you believe it when Simon apologized to DC earlier that his comments were on the verge of disrespect? I loved the whole finale. Syesha and Seal were great. I also liked it when Donna Summer and Bryan Adams performed. I was a big George Micheal fan in the 80s so it was good to see him performing again. The Idols were on Larry King on Friday night. They will be on his show again on Monday, Memorial Day.
