Prince Caspian

Just got back from seeing Prince Caspian and I really enjoyed the movie. The original Chronicles of Narnia is still my favorite but Prince Caspian is still very entertaining. The battle scenes were so exciting. Ben Barnes, the guy who plays Prince Caspian, is a hottie. He will reprise his role (this time as King Caspian) in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Filiming will start this year in October. The movie is set to be released on May 7, 2010.

I so want to see this movie. I loved the books when I was a kid, and I have read them with my four oldest.......I have heard that it is more graphic in some of the battle seens compared the first.....Would it be too much for a 10 year old?

The movie is rated PG. My friend took her seven year old daughter to see the movie and she didn't think it was too much violence. I think your 10 year old would enjoy it.

Depends on the 10 yr old. There was alot of battle scenes, all more graphic than the 1st, as you heard.Kind of like Lord of the Rings. One scene involves a massacre and I found it quite disturbing. My kids are 13 and 16, but I could definitely picture it bothering younger children. The two year old that was at the movie I was at cried through almost the whole thing, but that's another topic.

the Chronicles of Narnia is the name of the series. Prince Capsian in the third or fourth book chronologically, I believe, after the Magicians Nephew, Lion Witch and Wardrobe, Horse and his Boy then Prince Caspian
the other movie was LWW. I doubt they would be able to make the Horse and his boy into a movie as it is REALLY racist...

I took my 10 year old daughter to see this movie. I had reservations because I had heard it was quite violent. But, after discussing it with DH we decided to let her go. We both enjoyed the movie. There was a lot of violence and battles, but nothing gruesome. The swords didn't even have blood on them. I think, as with any movie, it depends on the child whether you think they can handle it or not...not their age. There are some PG-13 movies we wouldn't let our 13 year old see.

We saw the movie this weekend, with our 7 yr old and enjoyed it. After watching it I would of never thought of it not being appropriate for my son, but then again some kids are more sensitive then others. If its rated PG I let him go without previewing but if its PG13 or higher we either wait for video so we can prescreen it or get opinions from people who have seen it. I have also always made sure DS knows that movies are make believe and any blood is Karo syrup and red food dye.....

My 9-year-old DS and I saw it late last week and LOVED it! I thought it was fabulous! DS really enjoyed it, too, and didn't seem disturbed.
