For a scapegoat. "My wife is in charge of the money and she doesn't want that" "My wife has something planned for that night/weekend." "My wife doesn't think that's a good idea."

I don't really mind I guess the single guys either think I'm a bitch or he's whipped (isn't that partially true in all marriages-part bitchy, part whipped?) and the married men know it's a combination of truth and exaggeration because they all do it too.

It just makes things easier when somebody has a really dumb idea and he needs a way out or if he's tired or whatver.

I don't mind I use him for a scapegoat sometimes too.

And he doesn't care if they think he's whipped he sometimes reminds his single friends that on his days off he gets French toast or pancakes in bed with a little extra treat!

Your husband sounds like my kids. I always tell them if they don't want to do something they can always use me for the bad guy and say sorry my mom said no. And I bet your right about his friends thinking you are terrible about always saying no. LOL
