parking ticket!

My husband got a parking ticket in buffalo the other day.He was working on a house when he got the ticket. He took pictures of where the parking sign was as he did not see it and wants to plead not guilty. I say let it go because the fine is $30.00 and the gas it will cost us to go to court will end up costing about that in the end. He had to go into the tree and MOVE limbs to take pictures of where the sign actually is. I know its not right and He should NOT have to pay it but in the end again Its not worth the extra money put into it to please not guilty. I thought maybe I would send pics of the sign in with the fine($30.00 fine) but they would probably just ignore it anyways.

I agree with you that it is more of a hassle to fight the ticket than to pay $30. However, if your husband feels it is unfair because the parking sign was covered by limbs, and he's fighting for the principle of the matter, let him go to court. I like to resolve issues quickly, with the least amount of stress possible, so I would pay the $30.

I would pay it if it were me - only because you take a chance on going to court and I know here they can tack on the court fees as well. So a $30.00 ticket could cost a lot more in the long run.

It would really depend on where he was parked?? For instance, if you are so many feet from a stop sign, it is illegal to park there, wether it is marked or not (that is the law here, anyway). He may want to reserach the situation a bit more, first.

Not sure what the laws are here but I do know that the ticket says he was parked in front of House number 4 and he was in front of house 1 on that street.I think we are going to just pay it. Like I said It more a hassle and more costly to plead not guilty. Just one weekend he cannot go golfing LOL!
