I wish ALL teens had to go through this

There's a new show starting up in which teen couples have to go through 40 years of living in 4 weeks. One week w/ a baby (changing, staying up all night, feeding, etc), one w/ a toddler, one w/ teens and one w/ elderly people (taking care of one's parents when they're older). I really think emersion programs like these work really well. It's called Baby Borrowers and it will be on NBC. Anyone else gonna watch?

I saw the commercial...didn't know when it was starting. I think it sounds interesting. I think all teens who think about having sex should have to go thru some sort of thing like that

I didn't even know about this one but it looks like it will be a good one to watch. Yes ALL teens should have to go through this but for some I don't even know if 4wks would be enough.

I wonder who these people are that were brave enough to loan their babies????

I actually think this show is completely disgusting. It is explotive of the babies and toddlers who have been "donated" by their parents to be cared for by people who do not love them or, probably, particularly care for them. These children are being used for ratings.

I am not sure why infants and toddlers should be taken from their primary caregivers for three days just to teach some teens to keep their pants up.

Would any of you give your six month old or two year old to some teenagers for three days. And then sit and watch it on closed circuit tv and not be able to go to him or comfort him? Expose him to that kind of situation?

tessa67 brings up a great point...my child would not be the baby or toddler on the show.

Having said that, my teenager would be!

I will be watching

Don't know if I'll watch it but I think it's a good idea in general - but, I don't think they should use real babies/children!

Why not use those lifelike dolls that track everything, cry periodically and have a computer chip...it can tell if they pick up the baby, feed it, change the diaper etc etc.

I might watch to see what it's about, but, I think the best way to "teach" teenagers is to show them in real life. Children learn what they live. When a family member was ill I took time to go take care of them, and took my kids with me. They saw firsthand what it was like, and that this is what you do for family. As for the baby part, well, we have other family members who were "kind" enough (read DUMB) to get pregnant out of wedlock and at a young age, so we use this as an example.

I'm a firm believer in "children learn what they live".

Not a chance in hell that any baby of mine would be put in this position. And I'm not sure that this doesn't qualify for child cruelty.

I think the concept is good, just don't like the actual implementing of it with real babies.
