just want some sympathy...

First, I have a girls weekend planned, am leaving around noon tomorrow, but I've been preoccupied and am not done with the laundry I need, I have a headache and have not even begun to pack.

Why am I preoccupied you ask? Because my baby boy, who is 19 is driving all by himself from Fl. to Mi this weekend. Not so bad, maybe, but his driving sucks. It just does and I'm worried. THEN to top it all off, the little dear lost his wallet. No dl, no debit card. He wrote someone a check, got cash, but who's to say he won't lose that??? AAAHHHHH!!!

I'm so excited about him coming home, but this is going to be a LONG weekend.

Please, please, please keep him in your prayers.

Melissa

No matter how old they get they are still our "baby"....

Maybe you just need a long soak in a hot tub w/ a cold drink of your choice!

That is stressful! Hard to plan a girls' weekend under such conditions!

I have a feeling someone will be keeping their phone nearby for the next day or so! I hope you are able to put the worry out of your mind enough to have FUN!

Let us know how everything goes, and I'll keep you BOTH in my prayers, M!

While my dd was at college, she and her friends took a road trip BEGINNING at 11:00 at night and drove to Baltimore and back to Lancaster, PA in one night. She didn't tell me until afterwards. (They had a gps, debit cards, cell phones, locked doors and all very cautious) but I was worried and it was several days later! Almost better when they are at college and we don't know all the details.

My 23 yr old ds, however, went with his buddies and drove from NY to Ohio, and began at 2:00 am in the morning. I was up all night because the driver mentioned to me his directions and they were all over the place through and around NYC and I knew that was crazy...., you can't tell some people, but it kept me up worrying.

My mom at 89 used to tell me that she still worried about her kids and we were all way over 50!

Oye!

Rose........I know this is a bit off topic, but where did you dd go to school? I'm originally from Long Island, my daughter went to college in Lancaster Pa and now lives there. Small world and a lot of coincidences.

BTW, Baltimore is less than 2 hours from Lancaster.

Sorry I 'm just replying. Just got home this afternoon after a fun weekend with my nieces!!

DS had a completely uneventful (as far as I know lol) trip home. Thank you all so much for praying for him. It's so nice to have him here. He really learned how to play the guitar while he was at school so I've been enjoying some of that, and he also learned how to ride a unicycle so he's showing off to his aunt right now. lol

Again, thank you very much!!!

Melissa
