Poor

Let me tell you my example of poor
No hot water for 6 months. NO one could fix the super dooper hot water heater that I bought while I was working before I had to retire due to disability. Not one plumber could fix it ,not the state inspector or any other plumbing company would attempt it because the manufacture had stopped making my unit. I finally found out that the part to run the thing was improperly manufactured and didn't FIT the unit. therefore It didn't work.@
The spuer dooper air charged toilet that shoots air to flush shot the inside unit and the handle off. Can't afford to get that fixed, therefore you have to take the back off the toilet to flush it. This lil gem is nothing like a "Real" toilet with regular innards it is 2 air chambers taht have to fill with air then shoot the water out.
Had 2 floods...Sorry lady insurance that you paid for for forty years doesn't cover.Had sewer backup that sruined everything in basement...everything and all clothes lost..Sorry insurence doesn't cover. I've been without towels and sheets. Replaced the clothes for 4 people out of my retirement.
Tiles fell off the bathroom wall....company went out of business that installed them at a hefty price...can't help ya
Get behimd in bills...oops there goes the cable..phone and internet that is a package deal that you are locked into for 2 years and it cost almost 200 service charge once you get the money to pay that and that is besides the bill.
The electric bill is being supplemented by the church thru a association this month but it can't be used til they come to turn it off tomorrow and I have to hand the voucher to the man plus a 15 dollar service charge.
I lost weight because of this and my pants sliiped right off my body in the store yesterday. Went dumpsted diving and got Brand new shoes horray. Went to the store to get food with the vouchers for milk that we got from the food bank and don't you just know that a jar of prego falls in the store just as I enter and gets all over my shoes.....I complain at the store and they said what do you want me to do about that? I have to call the manager tomorrow. I just wanted a cleaning product from them to clean the shoes off with...Had two customers follow me thru the store that kept saying "she hust wants something for nothing" No I don't want something for nothing I have new shoes stained with prego. I don't know anyone who wants to walk around with a shoe stained with tomato sauce
To top off the wonderful adventure at the food bank where you have to swallow your pride and any self esteem that you have a lady on her way home from work hits my car. No one was hurt and no real damage, but I was really upset.

Your story is just so startling and shocking - I don't know were to begin.

You'll have lots of prayers tonight, I'm sure.

Please let us know how things are going! It seems like there's no way things could get worse, right? Then of course, every time you've probably thought that to yourself, things did.

Please keep us posted.

OP, what is going on in your life humbles me greatly.

I know what you are going through, I have walked in your shoes (no prego though, but I was prego, does that count? )

Maybe through all of this you can find a way to smile a little bit, every now and then. It is hard, I know.

Bless your heart. I surely hope that you get the help you need with your hot water heater and toilet. Maybe there are some handymen in your church that can help? But I am sure you have crossed that bridge already and tried. But if not, give it a try! That is part of the community that is church, and it is a wonderful part.

(((HUGS)))))

I'm sorry for the hard times you're going through OP, I feel your pain. My hardships are somewhat different than yours, but I know how hopeless it can make you feel when they never seem to stop. It can wear you down and make the immediate future look bleak. But, don't give up hope. It's true that when it rains, it pours. And, it sounds like you've experienced a flood, both literally and figuratively.

Have you tried you're local Salvation Army for help? Since you've been flooded and lost your clothing, sheets and towels, you may be able to get some help from them. Don't know for sure, just guessing. I remember when I was 14, a train derailed in our town. We had to IMMEDIATELY evacuate the entire town because the train was carrying chemicals and it spilled. We couldn't return for about a week, and therefore didn't have any change of clothes, etc. I'm pretty sure it was the Salvation Army that supplied us with some clothing. I believe they gave vouchers, or something of the sort, to purchase the clothing with. (specific items) Here's a link to their website. Maybe they can help.

I'll pray for some sunshine to come your way.

Icansavedaily....I hope today looks a little bit brighter for you. Hang in there. Sometimes I wish we really *knew* each other and lived close by. There are many of us here that would be on your doorstep in a heartbeat if we could.

Did you get the internet problem fixed? My aunt sounds a lot like you and she has to go to the public library to answer/send emails.

You are definitely in my thoughts. We've been through tough times and it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when it seems like everything is going wrong. Keep your chin up! and may something good come of this...

I am just so sorry for you right now and I agree with the above posters to please see if someone can help you because you don't deserve all this. It is a bit tough for us now but you really give a wake up call to everyone on how to be grateful for what we have. Here I was complaining this morning because my grass has gone to weeds world. Hugs and I hope someone helps you soon!

While things are tight for a lot of ppl, it does sound like you've had your unfair share. Just try to hang in there and try to find some help so that you can keep your head above water.
