| Anyone here ever have CELLULITIS?
My son with food allergies broke out in hives. He scratched them open on the back of his leg and it got a staph infection. We got meds Friday, but the leg stayed swollen. We went back to the doctor today and the doctor admitted him saying it was possible cellulitis. I am trying not to worry, but the worst part (getting the needle into him) is over. Please pray for us. If you guys can help me with food allergy stuff (corn, soy, peanuts) - recipes, avoidance, elimination diets, etc., please post or e-mail me. CHINKY95@YAHOO.COM. Thanks! |

I got it several years ago due to a cat bite I also had cat scratch fever with it! I got bit in the middle of the night and by noon that day from my hand (where I was bit) all the way up to my elbow was swollen about twice its size, bright red and feverish! I didn't get admitted but ended up on some iv antibiotics and pain pills!

My mom had MRSA last year (in August) and we almost lost her. They had to move her to the Cadiac ICU unit in Springfield MO, and that is what saved her (she was in a tiny backwoods hospital, and they were horrible!) She just told me last night she has cellulitus. I told her I thought it was caused from a lack of blood flow, but she said no, and infection, so sounds like she is right. Now, my question is, could this be popping up almost a year later and be somehow related to the Staph infection she had acquired? |
