Powdered Milk?

I cook alot and have been thinking about getting some powdered milk, for cooking purposes only. Is it still cheap? Would it be worth my while??

Powered milk has gotten much more expensive. I remember when we were kids, my mom bought it and mixed it with whole milk to stretch the milk because powdered milk was so much cheaper, but now it's not much cheaper than buying regular milk at $3 a gal.

I do buy it to make my own cocoa mix.

I agree. I priced it recently at Aldi because I was thinking about buying it for cooking, too. And, it was pretty much the same price as regular milk in the jug.

I agree powdered milk doesn't really seem cheaper, but I can stretch it a little further. I usually keep it on hand for whenever we have power outages, because I have one child that cannot live without any milk of any kind. There for a while with the winds we were having we were losing power constantly.

dnj the one thing I got from your response was the $3 a gallon, our's is pretty much$4 a gallon up here and I go through 7-8 gallons a milk a week.
