Lost Drivers License??

I had to go away for a few days to Altanta for a training seminar for work. I got home, and I cant find my drivers license. The last time I remember seeing it, I pulled it out to go through security. It expires July 23, and when I got home , my new camera card was in the mail. should I worry about this?? WWYD??
BTW, when I got home, it was really hot, and our power had been out for more than 24 hours, and just came back on now. got lots of housework but this darned laundry has to be the worst...
I got home hot and headachy (didnt sleep the last night and had to be on a 4 am shuttle to airport), and basically felt like crap. DH rented a generator, and we got the camper plugged in (sweet air conditioning) and the fridge and freezer....Today, due to a lack of me since Sat night, the power outage and all the stuff I brought home, my house looks a bit like a disaster zone...

You need to really watch your credit report. I lost an expired drivers license and someone found it and used it to rent a car and never return it. The license had my old address and they sent court notices to it and I had no clue and there was a lien put on my house. It finally was straightened out, but it was a nightmare!

I feel for you OP. I've had a somewhat similar "coming home" experience. As far as your license.... I'd probably call the DMV/BMV/vehicle registration (or whatever it's called in your neck of the woods) and/or the sheriff's office and ask them what I should/could do about it. It's never happened to me before, but with all the identity theft that's going on today, I'd see if they could log a report on it just incase something happens down the road. That way there would be at least some record of it being lost and hopefully it would expedite getting things straightened out if the need should arise. But, I hope your license turns up and everything works out for you. (xcrossing fingersx)

Brenda - they (PENNDot) do send out the notices about 2 months in advance. I would certainly call PennDot and notify them that you lost your license.

Did the storms that came through Tuesday night knock out your power? I hope you get electricity back soon.

Yup, I guess the storm hit Tuesday night, taking trees, transformers and all kinds of stuff....what a PITA in the heat, and the mess I mentioned. I have to go into work (late), but am totally unmotivated.
I called the DMV, and i have to file police reports, report on dmv (form) and federal trade commission. I am thinking of waiting till everything is picked up and put away (like the pile of debris on the table, from the trip and accumulated school papers and mail etc) just in the off chance the darned thing is there.
Every time I report a credit card lost, I end up fining the old one within twenty four hours of reporting it.
I am afraid, since they wont change the DL #, that everytime I use it, I will be flagged as potentially being not me, KWIM??

I would call your local Sheriff's Office and ask them what they think you should do, along with your local DMV, and make a note of the calls. I hope you find it!
