I spend all day reading emails, so that's nothing. What's awful are the horribly abbreviated 1337speak ones.

can fix server plz? kthx

If you're not on icanhascheezburger.com, you shouldn't write like that!

Our Firestone has one of these things posted on the wall. It is amazing that our brains work so quickly to make something out of chaos.

I could read it...scary! I kind of figured out a while ago though that spelling was terribly important. My oldest daughter's named is spelled "odd" and 9 out of 10 times people see it in writing and turn around and spell it the "usual" way!

I don't know where the 55 out of 100 statistic came from but it's incorrect. Almost everyone can read it, if English is their first language. The figure is much higher. 90 out of 100? 95 out of 100?

I was wondering about that, too. I wondered if it was like that attached/unattached earlobe thing or the can/can't roll your tongue thing. At first I thought the statistics might have been off, but then I thought..... maybe the people who can't read it just didn't post!
