Since the newest book has come out here is my cast for a movie:

Stephanie - Sandra Bullock

Ranger - The Rock (there is another actor I think would be better but don't know his name, can only picture him. Maybe someone else will mention him.)

Morelli - Mario Lopez

Grandma - Estelle Getty (except, sadly, I think she is ill)

LuLu - Sherri Sheppard (Judy on Everybody Loves Raymond, Roberts cop partner)

Those are the ones I have come up with, don't know for the other cast members.

Sandra Bullock would be a good Stephanie.
Estelle Getty as grandma (I think this was before her alzheimers)

I think some said Antonio Banderas as ranger (but I like the Rock better)

I think Sherri Sheppard would be a good Lula.

I don't see Mario Lopez as Joe.
Joe is a rough and ready guy. Mario is a pretty boy!
