Question Have you had any memory books made?

We just got back from vacation and I would like to have our pix made into a memory book. So far I've looked at Walmart.com and Shutterfly.com. There seems to be a big difference in price between those two. So I'm not sure what the difference will be, Shutterfly seems to have a lot more options with the pages.

Any one have any experience with these? Or any suggestions of other places to look.

Laura

You might look at Snapfish.com too. I've never had a book made there but they do a good job on the prints I order.

I have never even bought prints from online. Are the memory books expensive? This looks like it would be great to do with pictures from our last vacation.

I've made quite a few books on Shutterfly and I LOVE them. The quality is awesome, I do the 8x8's and the library looking ones that have our picture on the front and title. They are SO easy to make, and have so many options. I know you will love them. I don't know about walmart, but as for their quality these days... You might want to pay a little more.
Good luck
Becky

I have done both walmart and shutterfly. I did a book of my DH photography for mother's day and it was fabulous, I did it on Walmart. I didn't see much difference except price. Also there is a site called mypublisher.com that always have coupons or deals such as buy one get one free, or 40% off a $100 order which is about 3 or more books. I love these books and have grand plans of putting all my photos into books when I get time ... LOL

MyPublisher | Create your own Photo Book with BookMaker and receive a published hardcover book! is offering a coupon for a free photobook. Guess I am going to make one from them.

I've done several on Shutterfly and love the numerous options they offer as far as page layout, number of pictures per page, backgrounds, fonts, etc. I could have spent 10 times as long as I did on each of the ones I made! You can often get coupon codes for free books from Shutterfly. I've gotten a couple through trades on another board and both times the codes have allowed for the more expensive, leather bound books!

I prefer the ones from Creative Memories because the quality is top notch -- just like a book you'd buy at the book store. Target had some samples at the photo counter -- I think they were Shutterfly, but they may have been Kodak Galler, I can't remember. They were ok quality, but not like the CM books.

The CM books are a little more expensive, but I think the quality is worth it.

I love shutterfly.com. I just made my 3rd book there. I made it yesterday and it shipped today. They had sent me a free code so all I paid was for shipping ($8).

Sometimes you can find shutterfly codes on ebay.

For those of you with a Mac, you can do these through iPhoto. They come out beautifully!
