Something I want to do before I die is...

to complete a half-marathon!

I don't like running, but I LOVE the feeling of having accomplished the run when I'm done. I haven't been running in years, but strangely I still hold onto this goal. I want to do this!

How about you?

spend a whole summer eating my way through Italy....of course I would have to stay in a very lavish villa....which just happens to be located on a winery. The plane could crash on the way home and I would still be a happy (and full) camper~

I've always wanted to go down the Mississippi on a paddle wheel boat. Guess that's not a good idea right now. Who knows when those towns along the Mississippi will be ready for tourists again.

I had always told my hubbie that was what I wanted to do for our 25th anniversary. Well that year we were too poor to go down the Arkansas in a rowboat ! Now he's passed, so there are no more anniversaries to celebrate.

Go to Alaska and Nova Scotia, and retire to a lake front home in the Adirondacks.

And never have to sweat through a Virginia summer ever again.

Visit the area of Greece my great-grandfather is from and get some family history. I pray I will live long enough to see my children grown and "into" their lives.

I got to hold a baby lion (his paws were bigger than my hands!) and he was THE SWEETEST thing! So soft and cuddly!!

I want to go on a 3 week Alaskan cruise.

Getting rid of feelings of regret for things I have done in the past. so I can be sure to be content with my life that I have lived.

I am bad at letting things go! (Only for me, but I am very forgiving of others, weird huh?)

Lisa--I just celebrated my 50th birthday this past New Years in Times Square...that was one of my "must do's" too!
Devin's Mom---In Feb. I did the 1/2 marathon in Myrtle Beach...it's an annual thing, and it was a blast! I would also love to do one of the Rock and Roll half-marathons!

One thing I want to do is go skydiving one more time! Also, I want to make love in a glass elevator.

I'm very sorry you lost your hubbie, and with him your dream. I feel for you cooknstuff.

ILUVLUCY420 I'm very sorry to hear about your loss as well. Hopefully they will find a cure in our lifetime.

Minus the plane crash..... that's 2nd on my list! Right behind owning my "dream home".

Naturally I want to live to see that DS will be completely capable of taking care of himself. He's such a mamma's boy that sometimes I worry I haven't raised him to be self reliant enough.

I want to go to Ireland and ride a train.

My #1 dream is coming true in August- I am going to Alaska for a week and I am going ALONE. She and her husband are stationed in Anchorage and I am going to spend 1 week just relaxing, chilling and laughing ourselves silly. I miss her so much. My DH bought me a ticket to go. My DD#3 was invited but she is 11 and scared to death to fly so I am going without her. I am sad but I need a vacation and can't wait to go and see my BF, the nature and take pictures of EVERYTHING!!

DH and I are going to go to the Redwood Forest sometime.

I live near the Adirondacks and they are worth dreaming about! Beautiful. Forget visiting in the summer, go in the Fall, the colors will blow you away.

If you're a nature lover (sounds like you are) you'll love Alaska! It's very beautiful. We lived at Ft. Greely in '78 & '79. I was only 11/12 but it was impossible not to appreciate the beauty, especially in the winter! Have a great time on your trip. (I'm a little jealous. ) And, take lots of pictures.

My biggest thing would be to go to New York around Christmas and see all the decorations and windows! All those years of watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade has always made me want it so bad! Another thing I hope for is to live somewhere that has the 4 distinct seasons. Down here it is majorly hot, and just cools off some in the Winter and Fall. I am so envious of all of you that live in New York!! Is it half as wonderful as it seems??
