I feel the sensation of an aspirin stuck in my throat- any suggestions- besides bread

I took two motrin yesterday and now have had the sensation since then that they are trapped in my chest somewhere. I have minor acid burning sensation... I ate almost 7 slices of bread today and a gazillion glasses of hot tea tring to move/dissolve it.
I had hiccups twice- nothing is helping. I called my doctor, she said I should take an antacid and see a gastroentolist in a couple of days if it doesnt go away.
Any suggestions on how to move these pills?

It sounds like an acid reflux type of reaction. I took a pill once and my chest burned and stung soooo much. I don't think I took enough water with it and it irritated my espohogus (sp). Good luck!

I'm thinking maybe something with a lot of vinegar (ie a dill pickle, or salad w/ vinegar/oil salad dressing). Even though vinegar is an acid, it might be what you need in order to dissolve the pill.

great ideas- thank you-

I dont know what worked actually- I tried it all- and Motrin told me to call my doctors, lol

She told me it might be acid like Kathy said, so I took over the counter antacids and this morning I still have the sensation, but not as bad as yesterday- so thank you to everyone!!

BTW The pickle juice was not as bad as I thought- It might become a regular thing for me, I kind of liked it. LOL

Thanks for the Post, OP. I have this problem off and on and had tried the bread and liquids to try to flush it down, but had never heard of pickle juice. I'll try that next time!

was it a kind of lump in the throat feeling? because i had that for a while, i saw a specialist, had to take some swallowing tests and everything came out normal. turned out it was stress and anxiety that was causing that sensation for me. i never would of guessed.

Shauna,
It really felt like something was in my throat, not the tight feeling you get when you have anxiety over something. It felt like I could actually feel where they were laying (by my decolette area of the neck) Thank goodness the feeling went away!
