My daughter, Amy, got her secret buddy package today from Emma!!

She wanted to make sure that I let Emma know how much Amy LOVED her package. She was so excited!!!

The goodies in the box were:

slouch bag that you decorate yourself...which she is doing as I type this. It is really cute, and she's been wanting a bag like that (works great for the beach and pool).

a large package of cool foam stickers that she is using to decorate her bag with.

butterfly stickers...so pretty, these will look great added to her collection book.

test tube glitter glue...she loves to do art with glitter glue...these will keep her busy for quite a while.

lip gloss...she is always asking for lip gloss so this was perfect. They smell so good and her lips are sparkling!

glow bracelets..she's going to wear some of them on the 4th of July (if she can wait that long..lol)

a horse that she can decorate..she is going to do that as soon as she's done with her bag. She gave the horse a kiss when she saw it.

jelly bellys...yummy!!

And a very nice note explaining who her secret buddy is. Emma...Amy wanted you to know that you live VERY close to her cousins in Keller.

Again..Emma...thank you SO much for all the cool stuff you sent to me. You are a great secret buddy and I loved everything!!

YEAH!!!! Emma (and I) are so happy to hear Amy likes her package. Emma had the best time picking everything out.

Also, Michael received his secret buddy package today from Joe. It's great! Michael had a friend over when it came and they have played with everything all afternoon. He especially loves the dinosaur 3D puzzle. Joe did a great job picking out stuff for Michael. Joe's Mom, please tell Joe THANKS!!!!!

Thanks to WILL for the package he sent to Joe. It arrived a couple of days ago. Sorry to take so long to post that he got it. Inside was a model car which he really likes and some pencils, stickers, wall decals for his room, a package of flags and lots of gum and candy!! Unfortunately one of the pieces of bubble gum was unwrapped and the box was crawling with ANTS!!! They were inside and out! At first, I thought maybe Will sent an ant farm and it busted open! Not to worry though... we seperated all the goodies from the ants!

Thank you Will, Joe loved getting his package in the mail!

I posted on the other thread, but Brooke got her package from Olivia the other day and she is THRILLED with everything! Especially the books! After she opened them, she ran thru the house screaming "I have chapter books, I have chapter books!!" She has already read 3 of them and is almost done with the 4th. She loved the notepads/journals, stickers and pens and that squishy fish ball is hilarious (sorry if I forgot something)!

Both of my girls received their packages today. I can't believe they both came, from different people on the same day!

To AMY: Maycie LOVED her package. She has looked and looked and looked through her goodies. She said "I love what my secret buddy sent." She can't even pick a favorite thing because it's all so her. She received a Littlest Pet Shop coloring book, water bombs, Crayola 3D paint(which she just ask me for but didn't get), highlighter, stuffed koala(one of her favorite animals), Hannah Montana stickers and some of the neatest candy ever and some floss to go with all the candy she wants to eat NOW, LOL! Maycie said "thank you, Amy for all of the great things you sent. I love it all." And a sweet note to top it all off! Thank you, Amy.

To KACI: Tayler was thrilled with her goodies. When she opened her box, the first thing she yelled(in the car) was "Mom, I got a cookbook and it's Rachael Ray." She loves to cook and loves Rachael Ray so this was just the book for her. She also received a Hannah Montana keyring(so nice since she just got a house key for her 10th birthday, she needed it and loves Hannah Montana), a mini scrapbook kit, lots of cute stickers, neat pens, a High School Musical puzzle(glitter and glow, very cool), a journal and a cute dry erase board that hangs on the door. Tayler said "thank you Kaci for a wonderful package. I love it all and was very excited to open my box and now I can't wait to put my puzzle together and use all my neat stuff". Thank you Kaci!

My youngest son, Elliott, got his package Monday and wants to thank Michael. He was beyond thrilled.....better than Chritmas morning! He loved the flat ball and balloons. Funny thing, he was looking at that ball at Target and said that he wanted it maybe for his birthday. Later that day, he gets it in the mail!

Tag, I'm SO glad Taylor liked what Kaci picked out. We love Rachel Ray too, my girls ask to watch her every day at 6. I know Kaci had fun picking stuff out for her, since their likes are very similar. (HSM, Hannah Montana.....etc)

this is Olivia. I got my box from maycie, inside was a Hilary Duff watch, a word seach book, a cool water bottle, temporary tattos, a jump rope, a pocket fan, a littlest pet shop toy, gum, two journals, a neat pencil, a nice note and a photo of maycie in her martial arts uniform. I really liked everythig, espeacially the Hilary Duff watch. I thought this was so much fun I want to do it agian. I hope we can.

Maycie's thrilled that Olivia received her package and liked what she picked out. She had so much fun doing this exchange and wants to know when the next one will be!

EVAN, Will wanted to thank you for all the great stuff that you sent him. He loved the helicopter, and has been playing with it all weekend. The Sudoku game is really fun, his sister keeps trying to take it from him. The red white and blue bandana was really cool, Will collects bandanas and like this one so much The candy and gum was yummy. Thanks again for making this so much fun for Will.

Kaci got her package from Andrea the other day. She was so excited to get it in the mail and loved EVERYTHING!!! She got a frisbee (our dog thinks it's for her ), a Zach and Cody book, school supplies, lots of craft goodies, a 'K' notepad, a HUGE pen (she got such a kick out of that!) and stickers. She told me that it was like Christmas as she was opening everything. Thank you Andrea, Kaci loved all what you got her and she hopes to be a part of the secret buddy again!

She doesn't have an email address (we don't have internet at home...yet) but I told her if she wants to write a letter, I'll email it to you and when you write back I told her I'd print it out for her. Slow way to email back and forth but she said she would like that. So I will email you in a bit with the address you can use to keep in touch with each other.

Emma received her package today from Brooke and she loves it. It was so special that Brooke took the time to make Emma a t-shirt with her name on it. She was so excited. She is playing with everything. When her brother comes over and tries to look at something she tells him it's from HER secret buddy and he can't touch it. Both my kiddos can't wait to do it again.

Well, I must say that I am pleased! I'm glad you and your kiddos are all having so much fun with this. Mine are grown and gone, but I'm having loads of fun reading all your posts and seeing how much you enjoy it.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions to improve the swap. I see that a lot of you want to do it again. When do you think would be good? Late summer, fall, the holidays?

I'm more than willing to organize it again...unless someone else is itching to do so.

freer, thank you so much for organizing this. My girls said thank you and they really want to do it again. I can't offer any suggestions because on my end everything was perfect.
Maybe an early fall swap? For us back to school means busier than normal times but once school starts(my kids start in August), they would enjoy another swap. Also, it would give them something to look forward to and break the back to school blues up! We're willing to do it anytime though.

Megan, wanted to let you know that Andrea got her goody box from you this past Saturday but we have been away since the middle of last week and just got home today so I apologize for the delay in posting. What can I say other than THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! She loved everything that you sent her. The hair accessories were the best since she loves experimenting with new styles. All the school supplies were right up her alley too and she's excited about using them in the fall since she's starting middle school. The candy was perfect too, she's got a big sweet tooth. Jax received his package (over a week ago) from beanierandy...he loved everything in it. He has been drawing up a storm with all the art supplies and sketch book. I have tripped on the slinky a few times, so I know he has been using it. He whacked himself in the head with the yo-yo.....he didn't realize it was one that automatically retracted. And all the candy is gone, he was nice enough to share the twizzlers with me
