spinoff - what old make-up do you recall that you HAD to use?

I used that crazy blush that came in a lipstick-style container - I think it was called "Nature's Blush" or something - by Coty...

It went on "clear" (like a creamy white color), and it changed color after a few minutes. The trick was that you had to either blend it in where you*thought*it was going to need blending (since the color didn't develop right away), or you had to apply this blush first, then do everything else like brush your teeth, other make up, then blend it once it appeared.

Too many times I went off to high school looking very warrior-like, since I would have neglected the rubbing it in part.

Then there was my blue eye liner, which needed to go all the way into the pink rims of my poor eyes to make them "pop" and "make the whites even brighter"... I'm sure I was something to behold

Anyone else?

definitely my Cover Girl compact, my blue eyeshadow, and that vibrant blue eyeliner and mascara looked pretty hot when I was 15 too/ Yup, I'm a child of the eighties.

My block of blue mascara that you had to add water to and rub with a brush then apply. I think Maybelline put it out.

LoL Ohhgodd I had that too. Only I think mine came in a zip open case.

I remember wearing my jeans so darn tight and trying to cram one or 2 in my pocket.

Not really make up but a must have was the ol' Aqua Net hair spray. I needed lots of help to hold up the poof.

Because I grew up in Texas, I had to, of course, have the Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers.

I used the Lip Smackers too! I had a huge tube of 7-Up.

Other than that, not a lot of makeup but I did use "Avon Sweet Honesty" perfume.

Also, I plucked my eyebrows into pencil thin lines. I'm glad that trend passed.

Remember the chap stick/lip gloss that came in the tins? The lids slid off. I LOVED that stuff and would buy it now if they still sold it!! Just for the memories I suppose.

I also did the blue eyeliner and shadow and mascara. Yuck! And the high hair. Oh my, how beautiful. LOL

Lip smackers YEAH! And dial mascara and Charlie and some blush in a little pot and wasn't there lip stuff that changed colors? Based on your moods supposedly like the ring?

And of course Great Lash. I think every new thing that came out I had to try!

Magic lipstick or mood lipstick -- and it turned exactly the same bright pink no matter who used it, or how you were feeling. Smashbox makes something that sounds like that now, but it's not nearly so cheap.

I had pale blue nailpolish, dark blue metallic nailpolish, and mascara in various colors. I suppose Hard Candy made the first blue nailpolishes, which I couldn't afford, of course, and soon other brands had them too. And there was a Bonne Bell coffee flavored lipgloss I loved, and still do. That was after brownish lip colors came in -- I remember Toast Of New York was huge, and vanilla fragrances were considered really innovative, too.

I remember the Coty Musk was popular back then, too. I used the roll-on lip gloss, tons of Aqua Net, and lots of black eyeliner! I was usually tanned back then and I've got dark brown hair and eyes, so the bright blue eye make-up never worked for me. I think it was Maybelline (maybe) that made this eyeshadow that I wore ALL the time. It had 3 colors in it, like a frosted slate blue, frosted mauve and frosted grey/silver. And, in my early 20's I was rock'n the fuschia and pink eyeshadow. (LOL) I've used Cover Girl liquid foundation and compact powder since high school, and I still use it today. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And, it's always worked for me.
