Update below in post 38


Our son is back in the hospital again. He is in ICU on a respirator.
Yesterday when he got to the hospital they said it was Atrial fibrillation (abnormal heart rhythm.)
This morning they say he also has an infection in his lungs.

They are doing more tests this morning.
They also are mentioning Sepsis again.

We sure can use prayers again.

I will pray for him..

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

The good news is;
They did an exam on his heart today and said there is no further heart damage.

They did a procedure on his Lungs and we are waiting for those results. Also l waiting to find out if he has Sepsis. They did start giving him strong antibiotics.

Will update when we know more.

I'm so sorry for all your son has been through and is going through. I know it's hard on the whole family. Please keep us updated. Your entire family is in my thoughts.

After he recovered from that bad episode in March he was doing so well.
This was such a shock to have it happen so soon after that one.

Even though he has many medical problems the hospital visits have never been this close together.

Not all his test results are back,
but the ones that are back are NEGATIVE.

They finally said he has -
Congestive Heart failure and pneumonia.
Aways good to get a diagnosis. Then we feel like they know what they are treating!

He is a littler better but still has a way to go.
They have kept him sedated because of being on the ventilator.

He is worse today and they are starting Dialysis.

The kidney transplant was in 1981. I always knew this could happen.
I guess I wasn't ready to face it.

I am so very sorry he's doing worse today.

Prayers continuing for you all.....

When these types of operations happen, oftentimes the recipients and their families will start living for the joy of the day, day by day, year by year, because they all feel blessed to have each individual day. It would be great and liberating to us all if we could start living our days just joyful and grateful for the day we are having.

grannyshirl, I'm sorry I'm not very familiar with your son's medical history, so I hope I don't upset or offend you. But, don't give up hope. I had an aunt who was born with 1 kidney and it ended up failing when she was 26. After that, she lived almost 22 years on dialysis, and that was with 2 failed kidney transplants. She was very strong willed to be able to comply with her liquid consumption restrictions, not to mention all the meds and dialysis. And yet, everytime I think about her, I remember her smile. I always admired her strength of will, she was a fighter. I'll be praying that your son doesn't have to go through what my aunt did. But, if it happens that he does, I'll be praying he's a fighter. Please keep us updated.
